Sportsman's Grille & Billiards — Restaurant in Evansville

Sunday, 17th of June, between 1& 1:30 daytime. Brought 12 people in for a birthday celebration. All in the party has been here many times before because we liked it. Everytime I'm in town to visit, which is every month, I come here with my cousins and friends. This day was a real game changer that's how bad it was. Horrible person bartending. Real nasty attitude. If you were not one of her "friends" setting at bar receiving free drinks she acted as if you were a bother. She kept talking with her "friends" not even looking at you when trying to order. Everyone in our party had the same experience with her. After twenty minutes we all walked out and went up the street. People setting outside heard us talking about it as we were walking out and said; " you talking about that b_tch at the bar". I didn't even bother to ask for my money back for food ordered. It was too much of an ordeal to order from this nasty person. Her "friends" even looked uncomfortable with her actions. Never had this problem here before. None of us have been back and probably won't be for awhile. Food was always good as was the service. Kudos to the employees before the encounter with this one. Really makes you appreciate...

Went out for my birthday to my favorite bar in Evansville. Had some confusion with my groups ordering. They put cheeseballs on another friends tab ( who paid for it regardless ). The bartender approached us and was hostile towards us. He was wearing a black shirt and backwards hat. It seemed as if he was as intoxicated. Believe his name is Nicolas. He proceeded to berate my friend and tell him that he ordered the food when he didn’t. However the friend paid for the food. Not a big deal. He continued to be approach and harass us multiple times being hostile and aggressive yelling about the mix up. A second order came out causing more confusion. The names were “Adam” and “Madden”. Easy to confuse if you’re under the influence. The bartender assumed we were trying to get free food but neither bartender would listen and kicked us out. We have frequented this bar for 15 years and were treated like trash over a mix up and an employee getting in our faces over an appetizer which we paid for and would have even been happy to pay for the second mistake order. Went there for the first time Saturday afternoon (June 24th). My husband and I absolutely loved it! Good food, great atmosphere, good taste in music, and enjoyed playing pool there. The bartender, Adam, not sure if he was the owner but very sweet guy. He made us feel welcome. The plan was to eat there and maybe play one game of pool before we went to our next destination, but we loved it so much that we canceled the rest of our plans and stayed there for the rest of the evening before we had to head back to Owensboro.
