The Stockwell Inn, to me is a piece of Evansville History, and if not, it should be. The location by the Railroad Crossing makes me think of a train stop like the early 1900's. Great food and service. I would like to see a few improvements on the building, and if it is a historical monument, there should be grants available to renovate. From the rock n roll and country pouring out of the jukebox to the neutral painted walls, you'd swear you wouldn't be surprised if saw a washer and dryer sitting in the corner. You just can't help but get into that party spirit. The beer is always ready, the food is great and all reasonably priced. Not your normal bar kitchen bill of fare. This place does Cajun! So set aside a Saturday, gather up some of the fun family and friends and hit this place up. It's a real...
