I Can’t wait to go back! My husband and I went here for our date night and were not disappointed.
Food: my husband got the Peruvian Trio, and it was nothing short of amazing. I have never, literally ever, had ceviche this wonderful. The seafood fried rice was perfection 🤤. I got the seco de carne. The meat was tender, the beans were flavorful, and the spices were awesome. This is definitely a dish for someone who is wanting to dip their toe into cultured foods. For me, I wish I had ordered something more experimental. It’s giving roast beef with beans and rice. Still wonderful! But I like to be more adventurous with food. My husband definitely made the better order.
Experience: The restaurant is quaint and perfect foodie vibe. They’re definitely serving authenticity. Also, my husband and I could smell the food cooking from across the street in our car before we even opened the door. It smells like heaven in there! Our waitress was nice. We took our food to go and I thoroughly believe that was a mistake. We should have eaten there.
Price point: our order was a little over $40.00 after we paid the tip. Not bad at all for what we got. Not knock your socks off cheap either though.
Over all wonderful experience! That ceviche will keep me coming back...
Read moreMy wife and I just got home from Gollita's Peruvian Cuisine and boy were we happy with our dining experience tonight, which is kind of rare anymore, but not here.
First, the server was really good. I mean Really good. She helped us with our orders since we haven't had Peruvian food in approx 20yrs. She satisfied my love for spicy and took it down a notch for my not so spicy loving wife. We started with an appetizer. A Chicken Empanada that was basically a gourmet Peruvian Hot Pocket with really tasty homemade sauce to dip it into.
Our entrées consisted of the Peruvian Trio for me, which was a Swai Ceviche, Seafood Rice, and Papa Ala Huancaina (Boiled potatoes with a creamy sauce). My wife had Peruvian Lamb Stew (Lamb, Peruvian Beans and Rice finished on Cilantro Sauce).
Prices were reasonable, approx $40, and the whole experience was very pleasant. Good environment, excellent server, excellent food, and at a good price. You can't beat that...

Anticuchos appetizer (beef skewers with potatoes in a creamy sauce) Tallarin Saltado (stir fry noodles with veggies and beef) Lomo Saltado (same thing but rice and French fries instead of noodles) Aji de Gallina (shredded chicken and eggs in a creamy sauce with rice) --- Mmmmm soooo good 🩵
Amazing service, super friendly, and the food comes out quickly. There are pictures of the dish next to the descriptions on the menu, which is also helpful. This is a hidden gem of Evansville. You will NOT be a disappointed eating...
