First I want to start with, I & My family have been long time patrons of Anthony's and we have never had any issues with there service. It is always Fresh and Tastes great every time we go there. My family and I primarily went to the Kirkland, and the former Seattle Anthony's at Shilshole. This evening 12/08/2023 My partner and I went to Everett Anthony's for our two year anniversary since I live close by. She and I were seated right away. Our server Garth was with us shortly after we were seated, Our server was excellent, Attentive, Polite and Friendly. He listened to our orders and followed through with our wants and needs. Perfect Service Garth, Thank you so much for a wonderful dinner service. We decided that since it was a special occasion that we would have a special dinner not just because it was our 2 year anniversary but also because we have had a very tough year. With that said we decided to order the the Lobster Dinner. It arrived hot. Not one part of our service was hot food cold or cold food warm. Everything about our food was prepared to perfection. and Garth made it that much better with prompt service with a smile.
Now by no fault of the kitchen or any of the staff, both our lobster were in Molt. This is the fault of the fisherman and processing processes They should have caught the molt as they came out of the trap and thrown back or at the very least during processing. Regardless This by no means was it the fault of Anthony's or their staff. If you know anything about lobster, it is very hard to detect once the lobster has been processed and shipped to market. It is virtually undetectable until one bites into it.
Any how What happened next was totally surprising and blew me out of the water. First I have never in over 30 years had an issue with Anthony's there service and attention to detail has always been bar none. This is the first time an issue has ever come up. They immediately took our lobster away and threw it out. They took the time to look at the lobster and inspected it. the head chef on duty personally went in to the cooler and found two absolutely beautiful lobster tails and prepared them to perfection. Not only that but they came out with two new full plates even though we had already eaten the Vegies and other sides which I must say were Fresh and prepared to perfection. Then comes time to get the Check. Expecting to pay for the dinner service I found that the meal was comped except our appetizer and drinks. WTH This is not right But according to the server It was their policy. Hey we had a perfect meal and I would have been more than happy to pay for it. NOPE Our Policy is to comp the meal.
OMG The customer service is beyond reproach. Better than Palisades, Better than Canlis, Better than any 5 star dining I have ever had the opportunity to dine at. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would because it was defiantly 1000 Star Service tonight. Also on a side note these other so called 5 stars restaurants the staff always seem a bit on the stuffy attitude to me. Not at Anthony's. Anthony's staff treat their guests like family. Maybe that is why I keep coming back. Anthony's you've had me for 30 years, fair warning you will have me for another 30. Thank you for providing me and my Girlfriend such a wonderful meal service. Read moreAnthony's Homeport restaurant, located in Everett, WA on the Waterfront on Marine View Drive, near the Naval Base, has AWESOME Waitresses. They were VERY friendly and treated my boyfriend and I like we were SPECIAL guests. I COULDN'T believe it!! HECK!! We're not SPECIAL!! ACTUALLY, it WASN'T just the Waitresses who were FRIENDLY and treated us in SUCH a WELCOMING way. EVERY employee DID.
KEEP in mind that AT LEAST one of the Waitresses had ALREADY worked for SEVERAL hours by the time we had arrived so hers and their feet were probably SORE. They even answered the phone about FOUR hours BEFORE opening the restaurant for business since it takes a WHILE to PREPARE the place for their PATRONS or customers who eat there.
Also, after my boyfriend parked our vehicle a little bit far away from the restaurant in a Disabled 🅿️ parking space, I went ahead of him since I'm not disabled. I told the two employees behind the counter that I was waiting for him, that he walks with a cane and that it would take a while for him to arrive, that he was on his way. Well, I was REST ASSURED that they would send someone to meet him and SURE ENOUGH, they DID. Just as I started to wonder if I should begin looking for him after being escorted to our ALREADY reserved in advance table myself and waiting maybe a minute or two, I turned my head to the right and THERE he WAS with the Matir'D, who ESCORTED him ALL the way to our table. I was VERY delighted!! By the way, I DIDN'T have to wait for them LONG. Just a FEW minutes. I tell you the WHOLE staff are VERY professional. INDEED, they CARE about their JOBS. They WANT to perform them WELL.
Bear in mind that I was EVEN almost a HALF HOUR LATE and had FORGOTTEN to INFORM them that this WOULD indeed happen DESPITE being on my way. The table was reserved for 5:30 and I didn't arrive until 5:50. As you can tell, they ACCEPTED me ANYWAY. WHAT a relief THAT is!! I was looking FORWARD to this EXPERIENCE!! I had KNOWN about how GREAT this place was since 2004 but had NEVER eaten there UNTIL then.
I ordered a DARK green salad with white cheese crumbles and croutons. The FETTUCCINE dish had all kinds of DIFFERENT fish mixed with pasta. It's AWESOME and there was PLENTY of it. I also had green hot tea. The sourdough thick bread slices and butter were DELISH AS WELL.
ALL of the above SAID, I REALLY do HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to you. If you need to get an idea of the prices they charge, I recommend checking out the menu online or calling them to find out. Read moreOkay so you walk in the front door it's very dark. They have a beautiful setup with a guy doing salads and prep work. They don't even turn the light on to the case with the ice in it and a display of stuff. So you go to be seated everything looks great. You sit down at the table the water cup was all grimy to the touch and water spots. The wine cup was was disgusting. So out of you have the buses the waitress the manager and none of them slowed down enough to notice how dirty their cups were. I mean my cup was pretty noticeable on how dirty it was. The waitress was excellent the people there were excellent. But things are dirty and management doesn't even notice. The other thing was as I ended up getting the fish and chips and I didn't know they were going to be three fillets. Well they were a beautiful golden brown but the problem was they were a little bit on the greasy side. Now if the fillets were thicker pieces of fish the grease wouldn't mattered as much. The french fries were absolutely murdered. They look like sweet potato fries when they were just regular old french fries. They weren't even edible. The coleslaw was not eatable. It seemed like it had gone rancid because it sat up under the heat rent lamp too long. But the service was excellent when you needed something added to the table they were prompt about getting it but the one thing I did not like was the fact that it took them so long to refill the water cups. I know that they are very busy restaurant but you still have to pay attention. It's just that it's a very expensive restaurant and I expect a little bit better. The server's attitude was absolutely top level. When you go to leave the store someone told us to have a good day on our way out and it was another server even. But water cups silverware wine cup dirty fish greasy coleslaw bad french fries murdered DOA on arrival. Managers need to pay a little more attention cuz at the end of the day it comes back to the managers.. And yes I'm being a little brutal but at the end of the day I went home barely been able to put the fish away feeling the grease in my stomach and I wasn't even able to eat the french fries of the coleslaw to help dilute stuff down I mean I couldn't even get enough water to he'll dilute the oil in my stomach and then insult the injury had to You take up for it..
