It's been amazing to watch a local business grow. I've met the owner many times and she's very personable and her passion for baking is evident! The baked goods are impressive from the standard pastries, to the unique and experimental, and to the great consistent espresso drinks. You can find a delicious cinnamon roll, scone, or croissant here until they sell out. Feeling adventurous? Every so often there's a new item like the marionberry pop tart (pictured). So flaky and not overly sweet. Love the cortado here (also pictured)! The espresso has to be pulled right to make this drink shine, and this place does it! The staff are very welcoming and happy to answer questions. The space has a cool mural and ample seating indoors and outdoors. Can also view the water and Olympic Mountains from here. The only issues I find it to be very noisy as the facility echoes every sound. Not cozy, but functional, and definitely requires nose cancelling headphones. The entrance is easily wheelchair accessible, and is the outdoor seating area and the waterfront walking path.

We’re trying to find a good meetup spot—ideally somewhere walkable with food options. We’re coming from the south and meeting a friend north of Everett. Our usual pick is a breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, and cheese—similar to Starbucks’ bacon and Gouda, but at more than double the cost of Starbucks. That said, I still prefer Starbucks for the flavor and quality of the bread. Note on my rating scale: Sharing this for transparency, as I recognize that a 3-star review may be misinterpreted as reflecting a mediocre experience. 5 stars – Exceptional: Outstanding food, service, and/or overall experience. Truly worth going out of your way for. (For example, we frequently make the drive from San Antonio to Austin just for Uchi.) 4 stars – Very Good: Exceeds expectations in quality, service, or ambiance. 3 stars – Good: A solid experience that meets expectations. I consider any place with 3 stars or above worthy of a return visit. 2 stars – Disappointing: Falls short in food quality or service. 1 star – Poor: Not recommended.

South Fork has me utterly enchanted. On my endless walks I’ve wandered through every coffee shop on the marina, but this one? Well, they caught me hook, line, and sinker.

First off, the staff — swoon. It’s like they’ve stepped out of some indie film where the barista's smile could power a small town. Every time I walk in, it feels like I'm visiting friends I didn’t know I needed, all while they serve up liquid gold that’s so divine it could make even time itself hesitate. The moment that coffee hits your lips, it’s as if the clock itself agrees to slow down, giving you permission to savor every drop of the magic in your cup. If that isn’t a little slice of heaven, then I don’t know what is.

The atmosphere is neat, cute, but a bit tight when everyone packs in during the long cold season. Though, when the sun finally rolls out, having a seat to bask in along the marina is as charming as it gets. It's the kind of place that invites you to linger -- to steal a moment away from world and just be. Whether you're curled up with a book, chatting with a friend, or vicariously loving every adorable dog that struts by, there’s a kind of warmth that wraps around you here, like a soft blanket you didn’t know you were missing.

I have nothing but love for South Fork—honestly, they’ve ruined me for every other coffee shop in town. So, if you're anywhere near Everett, especially if you're within walking distance, do yourself a favor and come see for yourself. I know...

Don’t listen to the bad reviews on here! I live in the apartments right next to the bakery and I can tell you that having the bakery right downstairs is one of the highlights of living at the waterfront. I go there all the time since it’s basically downstairs and never once has the staff been rude, actually quite the opposite! Everyone is very friendly. They are super dog friendly and you can get the best pup cup in town here!

Now onto the food - the croissants here are the real deal. You can tell they use that quality butter that has sweetness to it. Crunch on the outside and soft like a pillow that melts in your mouth on the inside. My family came to visit me - including my mom who grew up in France - and everyone agreed that the croissants are top notch.

This is the only place to get a good bagel in town so I’m going to disagree with the bad bagel review. My husband and I moved here from Southern California where there are bagel shops on every corner and a good bagel was something we were missing and now have. PS try the Mama Lil’s cream cheese ;)

I’ve also tried the breakfast sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, and soprano. All great food. And their coffee and chai tea are amazing.

Lastly, we’ve tried two of the vanilla cream cakes (the berry chantilly one and the one for Fourth of July) and they are sooooo good. I hope the berry chantilly makes a come back. :)

Please go and support this amazing little shop! What a great...

I used to be a regular at this café, which I once considered my favorite spot. However, yesterday’s experience completely changed my opinion. My friend and I, along with our two one-year-old children, decided to stop by for some coffee and croissants. It was windy outside, so we were happy to be in a warm and cozy place. We were greeted by a polite and friendly girl, and the coffee and croissants were delicious.

But then something unbelievable happened. A young man with pink hair (who refused to introduce himself) approached us and asked us to leave the café with our children and everything we had purchased. His reason? It was too loud for him, and he couldn’t hear his colleague. This situation was completely absurd, especially considering that we were the only customers left in the café, and there was loud music playing in the background. At first, I didn’t even understand what he was saying because his words were drowned out by the music.

When I asked him to call the manager to clarify why we were being asked to leave, he claimed to be the manager himself and repeated his request for us to go outside. I was absolutely shocked! I never expected to encounter such behavior in a place I used to visit almost every day.

I will not be returning to this café, and I’ll be advising my friends to avoid it as well. It’s such a shame that a place with great food and a pleasant atmosphere turned out to be so...
