I used to order from Beijing Garden all the time when I lived in Everett, but they have seriously gone downhill. I ordered for delivery to my office today and wish I had ordered from somewhere else. My coworker and I ordered honey walnut prawns. They are fried prawns smothered in HONEY MUSTARD and served on iceberg lettuce (which wilts and sticks to it). It's a very odd flavor, but I guess I can deal with that. The thing that I can't deal with is the inedible hot and sour soup. The smell and flavor is VERY off-putting. It has almost a floral smell and taste to it, which is really unpleasant. The chow mein that came with our orders was apparently a mixed-protein variety and had shrimp, chicken, and beef in it. Weird, but okay. The only thing I can say was good was the spring rolls. No utensils or napkins were included. One packet of soy sauce, one tiny cup of sesame seeds, and a second one of hot mustard. For two large meals. Further, the website says $20 minimum order, but won't let you actually place an order under $35.

A wonderful low-key establishment of joy a tasty meal! We went in at a slow time, and were instantly greeted, and seated, handed menus and offered tea and asked about drinks. Personally, I can tell you I go to most Chinese restaurants and find them somewhat generic, but this one definitely stand out in love it up amongst my personal favorites. When unique part I noticed, was the menu, highlighted spicy items, and those spicy items were actually asked how spicy I would prefer. Never had that before! My date, and I both ordered combinations hers, and #2 and mine, the #6. I appreciate the variety and combination options being so many people, very between spicy, or maybe seafood, or the variety of chicken. There’s a little bit of everything for people here in the service was on par and was over and beyond attentive to us, while helping other tables, And pick up orders. Highly recommend trying out Beijing garden. If you’re in the mood for some Chinese and poor local Everett business! We will return soon!

Was excited to try since the reviews were good. We will never come back. The Mongolian beef and almond chicken were on a lot of combinations so we thought that would be safe. Almond chicken was good but the Mongolian beef was mostly onions and blobs of fat. See picture. The pork fried rice was mushy and tasted like chicken broth. The spring rolls were mushy inside like the roll wasn't cooked enough. The bbq pork had black spots on it. The fried prawns were good and so was the sweet and sour. Unfortunately we both got food poisoning and were up most of the night sick.

I had the absolute worst experience with this restaurant, and I will never ever be back. On Christmas Eve at 2:34 p.m. I called and placed an order for a family dinner for nine that I requested to pick up at 6:00. My brother went to pick up the food. At 7:00, after sitting there for an hour, or order was still not ready. I called the restaurant to ask about why our food was not ready and was hung up on. I went down to the restaurant myself to sort things out. There were several other people waiting for their food as well. I asked to speak to a supervisor about our food. I was told that they were busy and did not expect that volume of orders and that they couldn't do anything about it. I asked if they were going to compensate us for our trouble in any way, and the lady sarcastically answered that they would just give us our order. They had already taken payment at this point. I told her 100% compensation was not necessary, but giving us a discount would be fair. She handed me a $5 bill on $250 order. They still obstinately refused to apologize for the trouble. What really makes me angry is that they were still taking orders on the phone the entire time I was there, knowing that they had people at the restaurant who had been waiting for 2+ hours for their dinner. At no point did anyone contact me to let me know that our dinner would be late or that they were having trouble fulfilling their orders. I certainly would have been more patient if I knew that we were waiting for dinner because I could have planned accordingly for all of my guests. And to speak with me so severely about the situation when I had been fair, even-tempered, and polite throughout really bothered me. If I could give zero stars, I...

So, I live nearby. I used to love this place and ordered from them all the time! My whole family loves their honey chicken. Or at least we did... until they decided to change it from real chicken thigh meat to "formed rib meat." You know the stuff! The sort of product I hesitate to even call meat, that chicken nuggets are made of. An ambiguous monstrosity constructed of minced throw away cuts and meat glue. It is sticky, spongy, oddly textured, and gross. Now, I'm sure they made the switch to cut costs and save money, but I want them to know they lost regular and frequent customers over it.

My food was always hot, bc I live so close and picked it up myself. Every day I smell their food as soon as their fryers & grills turn on. And as good as it smells, I just can't get over the low quality meat product they now serve. I mean, come on guys! Can't you do better? When you cut corners people notice. I'm truly saddened I can no longer patronize your restaurant. And if you went back to genuine chicken, I'd surely be back!

As it stands now, the only reason I even rate them 2 stars is bc it's family owned and I don't wanna slam them too hard. But between me and the hungry person looking for a good Chinese joint,...

Poor service....poor communication....Food wasn't good either. I placed an online order. I received a call shortly after to inform me that my shrimp order contains shrimp in the shell. I say, I wasn't aware of that and I ask if they have already started the order. I didn't want to stick them because of an error on my part. The person on the phone says if you really don't want it, we can cancel it....even though they had already started the order. I say, well I will just come by and pick up the appetizer I ordered. She tells me I can't just get the appetizer, because they had started the shrimp order I would have to pick another shrimp dish. Not wanting to argue...I mean, they are handling my food. I said, give me the coconut shrimp. Then I get there....the cashier is unfriendly. I ask for some soy sauce. She tells me its in the bag. Yep, a whopping 1 packet of soy sauce for a $20+ order. The coconut shrimp were covered in some mayonnaise based sauce...I only ate a few and couldn't do it anymore. Long story short.....I will not be back. My advice is, beware....and make sure you know how they prepare dishes you may have had at...
