The Palmer House is a must-see for fans of Twin Peaks, and we are incredibly lucky that the owner of the house, Mary, not only offers tours but fully embraces the fandom, providing a unique experience filled with mystery, behind-the-scenes insight, and quality time with an unforgettable human being.
We decided to finally make our Twin Peaks Pilgrimage in 2025, coinciding with my birthday and (unbeknownst to me prior to!) our engagement. When deciding priorities, the Palmer House quickly found its way to the top of our list, given the glowing reviews from others and its prominence within the lore of the show.
Finding the house was as easy as it gets, and Mary welcomed us with a warmth and kindness often withheld for family and friends. We all had such a wonderful time talking, walking through the house and mentally juxtaposing the scenes from the show onto the real-world rooms, and sharing stories from our own lives.
If I can be completely honest, this tour would be worth it, even if the house was not related to Twin Peaks in any way. Mary was one of the most gracious, kind, and genuinely enjoyable hosts one could possibly ask for, and I cherished all of the time we were able to spend in her presence.
There are some people who wallow in tragedy, soaking in the trauma of being human and passing it along to each person they interact with. There are some who feign ignorance, pretending everything is fine and smiling their way through life, weeping internally and "bleeding out" spiritually until they die an empty husk. Then, there are those who make the most of what they are given, the good and the bad, learning and growing and showing kindness to themselves and others as they do. Mary is, most definitely, the latter, a beacon of hope for humanity and a heck of a skilled barista.
I would highly recommend anyone who is considering a tour of the Palmer House to do so. Bring along a camera, something to leave behind (if you feel inspired), and an open heart. You will not be...

We spent unforgettable moments there, and the time with Mary will stay with us forever. We highly recommend visiting this extraordinary place - always remembering that it is first and foremost her home, so treat it with respect. Make sure to arrange your visit in advance, go, and soak in the atmosphere and the time spent in this remarkable house. Mary, all the...
Read moreWhere to start? There are so many great things about this tour. Mary Reber, owner of the house and actress in the show, was an amazing host and tour guide. She spent 2 hours sharing stories about film /show production, area history, and about herself. She shared her behind the scenes photos from the production of the show and brought them to life with her stories. You'll also see beautiful art and mementos given to Mary from Twin Peaks fans around the globe, which made the tour even more special. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. You will not be...
