Is Franco’s in Marlton the best restaurant in New Jersey? Let’s find out! #marltonnj #southjersey #italian

This was our 5th and last time eating here. We've always had good experiences and the food has always been tasty. Fortunately tonight was a completely different experience. It's been about three to four months since we've eaten at Franco's and things are completely different. I ordered a chef salad. It comes with garlic bread. Normally the salad is sizable and very tasty. This time the size was still decent even if a little bit smaller than in the past but it was hardly any meat at all. Oh, the garlic bread never arrived. My son order two slices of pepperoni pizza. The waitress came back to the table to let us know that they only had one slice available and that they could make us a personal Pizza if we would like to pay for that. Knowing that the personal Pizza is tiny we opted to purchase a large pizza instead. Big mistake, what arrived is what I would consider a large small to a medium. You'll see by the photo that it only takes up about 60 to 70% of the tray. This by the way cost $20 for the pizza. Tiny but still tasty. We also ordered pizza fries. Unfortunately, like the garlic bread, it never arrived. When we are done eating the waitress then asked if we'd still like our pizza fries and garlic bread. Obviously the answer is no. While we were there there was a pickup order that was having problems with payment and somebody called that has a delivery order and obviously received the wrong food. So the problems were only going and not just with us. The waitress was nice enough and the cashier was as well. When he asked how everything was I told him about half our food not arriving and the fact that our large pizza was a medium at best. The only response I got was, oh I'm sorry. Just not good. It's a shame cuz we really used to like it here. We spent $39 for what I consider a small pizza and the salad.

After hearing a lot of hype about this place, my wife and I decided to give it a try. We decided to dine-in, but wish we did take out instead. The atmosphere is very casual and felt more like a diner rather than an Italian restaurant. The service was good and the staff were very welcoming. We received our food quickly and everything came out nice and hot. The issue was with the infestation of gnats / fruit flies. They were everywhere and we couldn't wait to leave. I'm sure this not the norm, but felt it needed to be mentioned. We believe they were coming from the succulent plants that were at each table. We would definitely order take out from this restaurant in the future. Dinner order: - Shrimp Scampi: Very good flavor and portion. The garlic bread that was included was not so good though. - Side Salad with creamy Italian dressing: Excellent - Reds and Rabe Sandwich: Chicken was tough and dry, but a large portion. *Charged $13.95 instead of menu price of $12.95. - Side order of fries: A little undercooked, but good. *Charged $6.95 instead of menu price of $2.00 (sub for chips). They did adjust the bill upon request.

EDIT: I can't stand when Owner's make STUPID and unprofessional responses on google. It says on your menu Penne with Butter SAUCE. Clearly YOU don't know what a SAUCE is. A sauce isn't melted butter. A sauce binds. Butter SAUCES normally have some kind of thickener such as flour or cornstarch. Or if not a thickener you at LEAST add seasonings i.e. garlic, fresh herbs, lemon juice etc. Yours was DRY and BLAND, period. Just oil and tasteless.

& notice how thats the only thing you responded to and not the wrong descriptions (or just your company's error) and lack of customization on door dash or the lack of accommodation/good customer service for your customers when yall drop the ball. Now you can have one star for tryna be a smart aleck with such a DUMB comment instead of receiving what your customer is saying and learning 🙄

Penne in Butter Sauce was very dry and bland. It's not an actual sauce it's just melted butter so it doesn't stick to the noodles.

Garlic Bread is supposed to come with the order according to the description on Door Dash but they just sent a roll with butter packets ... The roll was at least soft but that isn't the point.

The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because I did ask for Shrimp to be added even though the option isn't on Door Dash & requested to be able to call and give my card number for the upcharge and my request was honored. & when talking to the manager about the situation she was nice on the phone but even with being nice she wasn't accommodating. She offered no compensation or solution in the moment to the situation besides saying when I order in the future to call and let them know xyz. Why would I want to just order again? ... I believe she should've asked if I wanted to come in and get a new order or at least get my garlic bread that it says I'm supposed to get on Door Dash at the very bare minimum. Guess you live...

15+ years ago, this was where my parents would take us for the occasional casual family dinner. When my husband and I moved back to the area, I fondly remembered the excellent food and congenial service. I'm happy to report that little has changed about the way Franco's operates!

At 9 months pregnant, I'm grateful their extensive menu offers a variety of options not found at your "typical" pizza joint. We love their roast beef, roast pork, wraps and absolutely mouthwatering burgers (huge & juicy on buttery brioche.) Their steak fries are perfectly crisp with soft insides.Sliced pie is large and well sauced & seasoned. We have been getting delivery, which is always prompt and the young staff are SO courteou! Each delivery person, male & female, have been so professional and genuinely nice. It's a noticeable trait lacking from many other local spots & certainly deserves a shout out (& a generous tip😉.) The one occasion a minor mistake was made, a gentleman came back out to replace the sandwich without quarrel. Ordering online is a breeze, just make sure you have a card. If using cash or getting take out, calling may save you a couple dollars on fees.

Overall... Excellent service, delicious food and fair prices for the quality and quantity of food provided. I look forward to bringing our daughter here once she arrives, completing the...
