We just went for our first time to this steakhouse. Overall, this was our experience from start to finish:
Parking was confusing and very little parking available
Bread on table was plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately, the butter had a little piece of the paper left on it from the packaging (which I chose not to bring to the waiter's attention). Although a small thing, it really was disappointing.
Martinis were the worst part of our experience. Poorly made, way too sweet, couldn't even taste the actual alcohol, weird after taste. What is worse is that they did allow me to exchange it, but the next martini tasted just as bad and nothing like the flavor I ordered. The part that left the most sour taste in my mouth though was the waiter that took the drink away and tasted my drink that I had sent back and had an exchange with a coworker about the drink. I felt this to be extremely inappropriate and bizarre/unsanitary. I would never take a sip of a drink that a total stranger tried...
Porterhouse Steak for two was deliciously seasoned and just as good, if not better than some big name steakhouses in Brooklyn (PL and DiStefano's)
Sides: we were satisfied Overall with the sides. The Mac n cheese was great, fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned, but the mashed potatoes were underwhelming along with the side salad that came with the steak.
Lastly, I expected a cappuccino to cost $5-6, considering Manhattan prices but they charged $6.95, which felt steep.
Service minus the drink hiccup was quick and efficient. Waiters were friendly, helpful, refilled water, and packed up our food.
We are definitely willing to eat here again but without...
Read moreI went to the restaurant with my wife and daughter on Dec. 18, 2024. We went to celebrate my retirement which occurred the day earlier. I had read the reviews about the noise levels and there was one or two reviews that suggested getting a more quiet table. So when I made the reservation, I mentioned that I had read the reviews and asked in advance for a quiet table. I explained that it was to celebrate my retirement. On the night we arrived there was a table by a wall and other tables more in the middle of the room. They took us to a table more toward the middle of the room. As they did so I pointed out that there was a table by a wall, which would have been much more quiet. I told them that when I booked a table I had asked for a more quiet table. They then said that this other party was going to take the table after they were being escorted from the bar to that table. Rather than honoring the request I had made, they decided to give the table to others who had spent money at the bar. The restaurant was very loud that evening. I understand that because of the holiday season I would expect a lot more noise than usual. But if they had been honest with me when I booked the table, they could have said that it is not possible to book a more quiet table. In which case I would have taken my family to another restaurant to celebrate a once-in-a-lifetime event. The food was very good. But I do not like how I was treated and so will be unlikely to...
Read moreWe had such an excellent experience here! I made reservations for my boyfriend’s birthday, and didn’t know much about this place, just that it was a steakhouse. Walking in, staff were super friendly when greeting us. The ambience is nice, sort of on the lower end of lighting. We felt a tad underdressed because it seems like more of an upscale kind of place. I did try to look online to see if there’s a dress code, and couldn’t find one. So just in case you’re like me and you’re wondering if there’s a dress code, there doesn’t seem to be one but next time I go I’d dress business casual. The food was amazing, there was an abundance of flavor in every single bite. I got the short ribs along with mushroom risotto and my boyfriend had the pistachio lamb chops with diced potatoes. We always try a bite of what the other gets when we go out and I have to say, I can’t decide whose dish was better; his or mine! Before you get your main course there’s a delicious salad, and bread with butter on the side. We were so stuffed we couldn’t have dessert. This place deserves the five stars for its ambience, its service (the staff, especially our waiter, he was great and who I assumed to be the manager was great as well), the food, and the drinks we had.
TLDR; this place was amazing and exceeded my expectations with the taste of the food and the service. Will most...
