Fatburger & Buffalo's Express — Restaurant in Fairbanks

I really do want to enjoy this place. I've visited multiple times before I decided to review it but the negatives that come with the building and crew itself outweigh the decent food it provides. The building is far too small and cramped for what the restaurant and owner hopes to achieve and everything about the process of ordering and experience is unwelcoming and rushed.

Customers are usually funneled towards the register in a tight, cramped space and since you're probably going to wait outside before you even see the menu, you can't really plan your order ahead of time. Seating is extremely limited and often made worse by people trying to wait for their order as they pile up on one another. If you do manage a seat, the music volume of the restaurant is so loud that you should also expect to raise your voice if you're talking with friends.

Staff is usually rushed and chaotic so orders are often incomplete or simply forgotten. It's difficult to tell if there's active leadership in the kitchen. The food quality is better than McDonald's but still fast food. It really isn't worth the hassle when you can roll over to other places and avoid a lot of the frustrations. Getting the food to go significantly drops its quality.

If the place opens up another location in a bigger building, hopefully things will be better. As I said, I want this place to succeed but right now, it the cons...

Service was horrible due to this lady blaming the new trainees including the rest of the employees. Yelling at both costumers and employees is absolutely disgusting behavior. We understand everyone has those days where they feel uneasy but pls do not use that as an excuse to treat people horribly including your own team. That type of behavior was unacceptable and should not be tolerated. Yelling at costumers telling them the orders will not be coming out and to go somewhere else is unacceptable from any employee especially a MANAGER! Due to this horrible behavior people were waiting to get messy and missing orders having to go back and forth with this lady. Mind you still yelling at everyone , cursing and rolling her eyes at everyone. To this lady , pls retrain yourself and learn some manners on how to treat ppl including your team! Everyone felt so bad for the rest of the employees including the trainees which had no fault in her behavior. I will add that everyone was thanking the rest of the employees for their hard work and for having to deal with a person like her. If I were these trainees I wouldve walked out and not tolerated that type of behavior from this manager. But they pulled through! I hope they see better days working with this crazy lady! Decided to get this place today and was not disappointed with the food. Except when you order a plain burger with only lettuce tomato pickles and cheese. I have an onion allergy, and my burger came with "the works". I checked my receipt and sure enough it said "the works". I paid extra but wanted less? Alright I guess. But that's not all, my wife got a burger too and where was my cheese? On her burger lol. So she got up and asked for another piece for my burger after I took everything off of it that I did NOT want, the cook said "You want cheese? Did you order it?" Like yes we did, you put 2 different cheeses on the same burger. On God. I also ordered wings, which were nice a crispy. I asked for extra ranch and they only gave me 2 for 2 large meals including fries and the 10 piece wings. Idk in what world that means extra but when I asked for more, one of the employees who obviously does NOT want to be there gives me this long side eye before saying "it will be 25 cents".
