KFC — Restaurant in Fairbanks

This restaurant is known as "the bad kfc" in town. I went a few times, because I keep thinking maybe I just got unlucky that my food happened to be bad on that particular day. But no, it's bad every time. And today is the last day I will ever go there. Next time I will listen to what everybody tells me.

The close slaw was so slimey, that when I picked up a forkful, strings of the dressing clung to the bowl from the form.

The chicken was so overcooked it was dark brown, like the color of dirt. Both outside and inside. It would have been dry, except that it was so OVERSOAKED in whatever you guys fry it in, that you could squeeze it like a squeegie and have it run out - and not in an appetizing way.

But worst of all was the service. When I called back to speak to the manager, and explained my experience, I finished my summary by explaining that I wasn't going to come back to return the food because it was a waste of my time to drive back to the restaurant. She responded saying "I can mail you a certificate". How does that help? I don't want money. I don't want a refund, I want this restaurant to get it together because it's gross, and at Alaskan prices, we deserve better than your usual standard. Her response was to say "ok" and hang up without hesitation.

The cashier was a young male that seemed absolutely irritated to be there, I think he hated his life. He was practically rolling his eyes the entire time he was taking our order. After we paid, we asked if the meal came with a drink. He said 'nope' and stared back, disinterested. He asked if we could purchase a drink. He silently rang us up and handed us the cup. We sat down and waited 5-6 minutes, not too long. When we got our meals, the chicken was EXTREMELY greasy. Disgustingly greasy. It was honestly inedible. I had ordered the extra crispy chicken and it was cold and chewy, not crunchy at all. We watched the same worker enter the bathroom to clean it with just a wet rag and we prayed it wasn't the same rag he used to wipe the counter. I wouldn't be surprised. The overall impression was that the staff was unprofessional and irritable, the facility was unsanitary (floor was disgusting), and the food was CRAPPY. I would not recommend...

I rarely go to kfc but I figured why not give it a shot so I went inside because I knew I needed time to look at the menu and make up my mind. Well, upon arrival an employee asked me what I wanted and I said one moment. I then figured he could help me out so I told him that all I wanted was chicken, gravy and biscuits. He proceeded to ask me questions about it in such an unprofessional and motone voice. I coukd tell he did not like working there and to that I say "find a new job" seriously. Just because you're in a bad mood does not mean you get to treat your customers or anykne this poorly. Anyway, ofc I was only ordering for myself so I thought that it was going to be cheap but it was around $25. The employee was no help to me and he charged me so much for three things! Ridiculous! 4 piece chicken, 2 biscuits and 1 gravy, 25 dollars....
