I am very disappointed in the wedding cake design I got.
There is not an issue with the way the cake tasted but simply an issue with the lack of attention to detail and care that went into putting the details into the cake design and this is IMO slightly more important since I'm a designer.
I hired Liberty Bakery for our wedding cake design and I had sent over photos and went over in detailed with what I was looking for at least 3-4 months before our wedding and I even checked in with them a few weeks before our wedding and I trusted them with the cake design process.
On our wedding day, we got a cake that was not the design I was looking for. The colors were not what I wanted, and we were missing some very important details to the cake.
They did refund a very small fee to make up for it but I would have much rather have the cake look the way I envisioned it and it was very disappointing especially when it's your wedding!
It is a special day and Liberty Bakery didn't seem to care? Yes, you can't go back in time, so its important to get the details correct and I do not understand why the cake decorating was not better executed given I had sent over plenty of photos and had multiple meetings with Alison as well.
Overall, very disappointing that they didn't pay attention to the small details or looked into the emails that I sent over beforehand. If they had questions two weeks before the wedding, they could have asked me. Instead they told me they didn't want to bother me on our wedding day which meant they didn't take time to look over the details until the day of???🤔
It was my mistake to not be more persistent instead I trusted them and the cake design was a huge miss. It was very frustrating and disappointing .
You only get married once in most cases, so pay attention to who you hire to design your wedding cake if you care about design and proper...
Read moreWe hired liberty baking for our wedding cake and could not have been happier with the service and cake itself.
We come from a picky dessert family and take our cake seriously. In fact it’s my favorite food. I tried a few different bakeries in the area when making the decision and kept leaving disappointed, until we found liberty. they were off to a great start when they allowed us to pick and choose flavors from the two separate tasting boxes so we could try the flavors we wanted at no extra cost. Every sample was incredible. We knew we found the right bakery the hardest part was narrowing down our flavors.
Our wedding cake was the biggest hit, all our guests were raving about it. The cake was flavorful, moist, not too sweet and just tastes freaking good. We did two flavors and both the chocolate and vanilla were amazing. You can tell Liberty uses quality ingredients and it makes all the difference.
They were very clear and organized from the first call until the big day itself. Alison was so knowledgeable and honest. Alison encouraged to buy less cake than we originally thought we needed and never tried to upsell us. She was in fact correct :)
The week before our wedding I noticed a major error and that our wedding date for the event delivery was wrong. I had never caught it until the very end and thanks to liberty’s automatic messages saying we were two weeks out I caught the error. I frantically emailed and texted Alison on a Saturday morning explaining the error and not only did she respond instantly but she was gracious and kind. Alison quickly resolved the problem, assured me it wasn’t the end of the world and saved the days.
To make a long story short, if you want freaking delicious cake baked by some lovely people, go to liberty baking. We can’t wish to go back to liberty for all our future...
Read moreLiberty made my wedding cake and I highly, highly recommend them! I ended up going with a 3 tier cake with 2 flower posies and it was beautiful. They work with you from the beginning to make sure you are getting what you want/have envisioned and definitely work within your budget.
In addition, I purposefully bought less cake than recommended because every prior wedding I've ever attended -- there was SO much leftover cake. My wedding was about 60-70% asian american and 30-40% caucasian/american and so I didn't want to overdo the sweets. To my surprise, the entire cake was finished & I heard from friends that near the end people were fighting for more pieces of cake! Afterwards, my family and friends RAVED about this cake. My planner saved me a big piece of cake at the end of the night and I ended up splitting it up between many friends/family because everyone wanted more. I got the hummingbird + blueberry and both flavors were verryyyy well received. My husband, who hates carrot cake and refuses to eat it, actually loved the hummingbird cake as well.
Overall, I can't recommend them enough and encourage you to book your wedding cakes with Liberty!! Their cake flavors are awesome, the team works with you to make your perfect cake, they respond to emails quickly, and pricing is VERY VERY fair (I looked at about 5 other bakeries...
