I've gone to Warao a few times now and tried different dishes and went with different friends. Each time I went, my friends and I were never disappointed. Every dish hit its mark and tasted fresh and delicious. The restaurant is so clean, and the service has always been warm and welcoming!
I tried three kinds of toast. The Warao toast is stacked and is sure to satisfy. The normal avocado toast is perfect for those who want to keep to simple. The Nutella toast was perfectly sweet, not overdoing it and went well with the strawberries.
The two flatbreads were amazing! The pepperoni one tasted better than some pizzas I've had. The warao flatbread was again stacked. Their prosciutto really stood out.
Also had their shredded beef arepa and empanada. Both had very tender, juicy marinated meat. Just full of flavor! The arepa was also loaded with cheese. It will definitely fill most people up. Last but not least were the tequenos. They're kind of like mozzarella sticks but with a flaky crust. Make sure to put the delicious garlic cilantro sauce on everything!
I absolutely loved their coffee! Get their Warao Cappuccino! You won't be disappointed! Their matcha version has all the sweet bitterness you'd expect matcha to have. And the frappe was also good, not overpowering in sweetness.
If you haven't gone already, check Cafe Warao out! They knocked it out of the park with me and I'll most definitely be coming back here over...

🥑🍞 - Avocado Toast - This was not a gentle version of avo toast where light flavours come through, this was aggressively cheese (which is fine when done right but..) Salty and slightly sour from the overload of feta, the tomatoes didn't really balance the flavour only added to the sour profile. No doughy flavour from the sour dough as the feta was the main flavour through each bite. Maybe a light balsamic reduction would have balanced this dish out?
🥐 - Ham and Swiss Croissant - Overbaked?? Baked forgotten, then baked again? I have no idea, but it was awful. Burnt undertones through each bite, SUPER tough chew, not flakey and light. Light traces of meat and cheese in the background.
🍵 - The Matcha Latte - Real bitter. No gentle introduction of any creamy oat milk to welcome you to the earthy profile of matcha, just bitter beginning and end. This was the worst thing out of everything.
🍹 - Papelon con Limon - Lemony tea, sweet undertones, honey like sweetness profile even though it's cane sugar. It kinda reminds me of ice lipton black tea with lemon and honey. Refreshing, probably more so if it was a hot summer day. It was the only good thing, but not good enough to alter my view of my experiences with...
Read moreWe ordered coffee drinks and food. Armando took counter order and appeared friendly and courteous. There were some serious issues on food which put breaks on ever returning. 1) The food ordered on menu did not match what we received. 2) The plate was taken back, but instead preparing new plate, the ingredients were removed, leaving traces of items we did not order, the plate was cold, and same food was delivered to our table. Armando, co-owner was aware but did not apologize. 3) Ordered another dish, but couple of their extensive menu list was unavailable. 4) Only plastic utensils were available which kept breaking and no real silverware to cut food eaten on premises. 5) The only part we enjoyed was their x2 coffee drinks late and cappuccino. 6) The small menus on the order counter were difficult to read and there were no large menu on the walls. 7) As we left stated thank you and Bye to Armando but he never came to our table to discuss how he would remedy to resolve and did not offer advice to his cooking staff about not return same cold plate and not cooking fresh plate on wrong plate delivered! 8) Sorry, but too many mistakes and unprofessional customer service experience. We will...
