Sold a 3g 14k gold necklace. They offered $120. The gold by itself is worth $189 and some change.

I countered with $100 and 1oz silver coin. (Silver is 37 an oz right now). Still leaving him with a $50+ profit.

Except when I asked for the silver round to be a maple he countered with I would have to give him $5 from the cash to get a maple. Instead he gave me Apmex round. Then said it’s all the same, it’s all silver. If that is the case, then why not give me the maple? The key to good business is for everyone to leave happy so they want to return for more.

I’m not mad about it I would just prefer to do business with people who are not greedy. I’ll try another shop when it comes to selling the rest of my gold.
