I am so incredibly disappointed. I have came to this exact location my whole life alongside my mother, and today, (09-27-25 at 11:30) we were treated as if we were different than other customers by the lady at the fitting room, just because we spoke a different language. My mother and I are both citizens of the United States. Just because we chose to speak a different language at the fitting room, does not mean that we are also not fluent in english! She constantly bickered about us having too many clothes to try on (we had 5 pieces of clothing), and gave us dirty looks when we spoke. My mother had a shirt in a marshall’s bag to return, that we left in the cart (obviously because we’re not going to bring it in the fitting room) and she looked dead at my mother and said, “do you have a receipt? you can’t have that”. Just to make sure it is known, IT WAS IN THE CART THAT WE HAD ALREADY PUT TO THE SIDE! As I was in the fitting room, I overheard her speaking to other customers, and she treated them completely different, as if they were better than us for speaking english. When we left the fitting room, I gave her the one sweater that did not fit me, as my mother held the 4 other pieces that we were going to buy, and she said, and I quote, “You had 5, where did the rest go?”.. very rudely and snarky, implying that we had attempted to steal. I looked at her and pointed to my mom who was on the side of me and very obviously holding the other clothes. SHE THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO STEAL JUST BECAUSE WE SPOKE A SECOND LANGUAGE! Absolutely ridiculous, and this review doesn’t even sound as bad as it should. My mother and I felt so uncomfortable after this that she turned to me and said, “This is why I don’t speak other languages when we’re out in public.” My mother has came to this store for over 20 years, and this has never happened before! I am so disappointed and I hope that she gets what she deserves because all of the other employees...
Read moreMy first visit to this location was on 9/26/25. The store was fairly organized, as I’ve come to expect from most Marshalls/TJ Maxx locations. On this trip, I was specifically hunting for Sand & Fog perfume oils—yes, I’ve fallen down that rabbit hole—but I haven’t had much luck finding the exact one I want.
At the Fairhaven store, I went straight to where I thought the perfumes would be but couldn’t find them. I noticed a worker nearby in the cosmetics section and asked if she could point me in the right direction. She was so kind and helpful, but what impressed me most was what happened after. She noticed me standing at the perfume shelves, smelling different options, and came over to ask if I was looking for something specific. When I told her, she immediately knew what I meant and, without me even asking, said she’d be right back. She returned with three perfume oils and a set that she pointed out had a scent similar to the one I wanted.
This may sound like a small gesture, but it meant so much to have someone who was clearly busy stocking shelves take the time to truly help me. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was Caucasian, wearing glasses, and stocking the cosmetics aisle. She stood out as a genuinely caring employee and absolutely...
Read moreMy girlfriend found two coats she loved marked down on clearance. She brought them up and the cashier brought them over to another group of people and left us sitting there for 5 minutes with no explanation. They then told us there was an issue with the tags and that they needed to find other items to compare them to. After 15 minutes they brought the price up from $32 to $40 and were less than apologetic. I found the staff very unprofessional and to change the price on a clearly marked item made me feel like my girlfriend was scammed...
