Szechuan No 1 — Restaurant in Fairland

Wish there was a way to give this place 0 stars. I placed an order and was told it was going to take 40 to 50 mins it was Friday so understandable. 1 hour went by and I decided to call to check the status of the order. The women stated it would take 5 to 10 mins. Another 1/2 hour pasted and I decided to call them back. They wouldn’t pick up the phone so I kept calling, someone would pick up the phone and hang up. I was extremely frustrated, once the gentleman arrived with the food. I asked him to please take it back and have the lady issue a refund. I called the restaurant again to ask if my card would be refunded bc I didn’t accept the food. Again no one picked up and the women kept picking up and hanging up or it would go to an automated message. The women finally answered just to say to stop calling and hung up. I had to physically go there to sort all this out. The women kept trying to argue with me, when all I was asking for was a refund receipt. She kept me waiting and even called someone else on the phone she claimed was the owner. Needless to say this is a terrible place and I will not be ordering from...

I moved to this area in 1988 this restaurant was the go to restaurant once a week for years, the owners were very accommodating our order changes, a little problem with the cooking staff a few years back ,after several orders over a two months we took a one year break, I have a big family 14. We order a lot of food , when we returned a year later, they thought we had moved, we said no that the quality that we were used to had ended, they said they had made changes, they have been very good until within the last year, now under new management, things have gone down hill quickly, their new cooks needs retraining for better quality control There are communication problems with phone ordering that could be addressed, running a restaurant is not easy.. if you are the owner please see if the quality food we're used to get we can get again, to us...

The woman who always answers the phone and taking orders is the rudest person I’ve ever had the misfortune of meeting. She screamed at me in front of other customers and insulted me because I was asking how much extra sauce would be. I have never dealt with anyone this rude in my life. The food is cheap and she knows it as she told me to “go pay more somewhere else” instead of taking my order. I even tried to order something small bc it’s cheap and close months after this incident but she hung the phone up on me. I would love to keep ordering the relatively edible cheap food but that woman’s awful attitude and brazen disrespectful manner to asking about sauces was too much to ignore I wouldn’t support this restaurant if I were you. WORST TAKE OUT PLACE EVER BC...
