I'm really disappointed with the attitude of the store manager. I ordered 5 pieces of chicken tender with an offer of free chicken burger for pickup on Popeyes website. There was a technical issue when I completed my order. The website showed that the order was completed, but then took me back to my cart with everything in there. I went to Recent Orders to check and couldn't find my order anywhere, so I tried re-ordering again. A messange popped up saying I had a duplicate order and told me to wait 5 minutes before re-ordering. Something seemed wrong there. Then, I opened my bank app and checked my recent transactions. It was right there, a charge from Popeyes 13890 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20904. I thought the order should have gone through, it just didn't show up on my side. I decided to drive to the store. Unexpectedly, they couldn't find my order. While I was explaining the situation to the two employees, the store manager approached. He asked what'd happened, I explained again. He then turned to the two employees and told them to answer me because "she is talking to you two", he said. No Sir, I was talking to all of you. As a manager, you should be the one talking to me, helping me with the issue, don't just leave it to your employees. The two employees then tried to help me but failed, I don't blame them, they were not supposed to deal with problems like this. After that, the manager jumped in and started asking me questions as if I was lying and it was my fault that their system was faulty. After explaining again and again, showing them the transaction on my bank app, he accepted that something was wrong with the system and offered me a "ONE-TIME" courtesy, he emphasized and repeated. What with that attitude? Excuse me Sir, I wasn't trying to make a scene for some free chicken tenders and a burger. I was trying to get the what I'd paid for. If you didn't want to sell me your food, just say so and drop that attitude because I AM NOT A BEGGAR. Was it all because I'm Asian? You might think I am overreacting. Since they don't sell Cajun rice anymore, I asked if I could have just white rice with gravy and to charge me for two red beans and rice for the manager to say that he couldn't do that because of the ratio of riceš¤ and when I told him other Popeye chains have done it, he said he's not them....𤨠when they finally put my order together I then ask if I could get some sweet heat sauce, but the cashier said $.27 . I said I just bought chicken, they both (the manager and cashier) said, we only give sauce if you buy nuggets or tenders. I said I just purchased over $50 in chicken and can't get any sauce. They said yes you can if you pay.
The manager needs to be retrained to problem solve. š He should've said let me see what I CAN do for you to keep you a satirist customer, but instead he kept saying NO. So after he gave me my food I simply asked for my money to be refunded to me, he rolled his eyes and said of course. Now let me get this straight, you'd rather refund the $72.64 back to me than give me what I'm asking for that is not asking for too much. Now you've lost a customer(s), inventory, because you had to throw perfectly good food away because I put my hand in the bag AND, you Manager will get a bad review for your Poor Customer Service and lack of skills and critical thinking skills to complete your job. I specifically ordered 2 piece leg classic and thigh classic for my daughter to eat, but they given me spicy versions instead and now she canāt even eat it because itās too spicy for her. I also ordered mash potatoes and gravy, and home Mac and cheese, but they given me instead of the Mac and cheese it was cold slaw. Again Mac and cheese was suppose to be for my daughter to eat and now she has nothing she can eat. Thanks a lot.
Also Iāve noticed that during lunch hour, most of the workers too a lunch break and there was only one cash register worker, and a manager that was working. Obviously they should take breaks after one gets off of break in order to not have such a long waiting line.
They also never put the orders in the mobile order pick up area and never utilize the order window outside and makes people go inside to get the order at the register while thereās a long line.
This Popeyes is disorganized, and does not give you the right order. Go to a different location especially if you do mobile order. Such a waste of our money, time, and now Iām left with a hungry kid. (Also for those who think the kid should just eat whatever clearly never had kids...
