UNBELIEVABLE! I read a review from a lady who is use to eating at the restaurant, stating that the lady at the counter don’t greet. Well let me extend this review for this rude server! First off miss, you are the face of this restaurant. Now because of your NASTY ATTITUDE, many people will look at this review and definitely question visiting there. As we walked in, miss lady gave us such an unpleasant look and then rolling her eyes. I tried to compose myself, because my first thought was to put her in her place. She then told me, the food I requested is call to order. I am not familiar with that term, because I don’t even live in the US (visiting from abroad) so I asked her what it meant and that irritated her. She gave me even more attitude! I am absolutely flabbergasted!!! Like how in the world do you find that negative energy towards someone who came to order the most expensive meal on the menu! What a sick individual! Not sure if you are the boss but believe me, like another person mentioned in their review, THE WORLD WILL KNOW ABOUT YOU! Good luck with that messy behavior! And by the way for those of you who would like to know the way it ended. I asked her if she was having a bad day and definitely told her about her horrible attitude and also informed her that this review was coming!!!! And we definitely did not order...
Read moreI'm leaving this review to let y'all know customer service does not exist at Tropicana Eatery in any form or fashion. Please do not expect any hospitality from here.. On the occasions that I visited, I called several times to place an order. Nobody answered either time. On the 1st visit, I walked into an EMPTY restaurant and the workers were standing behind the counter watching TV (and halfway greeted/looked at me like I trotted into the wrong place). On the 2nd visit, I ordered three (3) roti skins. Approximately 3 - 4 people ordered after me. They received their food before me. I waited about 15 - 20 minutes before someone asked what did I order. I told them. A few employees conferred amongst themselves. One comes back and tells me "We skipped your ticket; it'll be two (2) minutes." I nod while on the phone. They bring my food. I ask if they gave me extra for forgetting my order. The cashier says, "Yea, extra napkins (and laughs)." I say, "I'm serious; y'all skipped/forgot my order." He replies, "(Laughs) Yea you got extra napkins." I said, "I can't do anything with extra napkins." Next, he laughs nervously and looks away from me to help the next customer. I said, "Ok," and left. Check out Unforgettable Flavors in College Park. Chef Neville and his staff are WAY more hospitable, pleasant...
Read moreI bought food from the old location off Georgia ave. However I stopped and they’ve since closed that location a few years now. I decided to give this new location a try to see if maybe the food has improved. First thing that struck me was the horrible customer service by the lady at the front with the Mohawk. She kept watching the Tv instead of asking me what I wanted and I was literally the only customer in the store.I said ok, then I signal to her that I’m ready. She hastily served the food then went back to watching again. Second, I ended up trashing the entire meal. Presentation was horrible and the Brown Stew chicken was nasty. It tasted like pure ketchup and the chicken looked uncooked. This is not what brown stew looks and taste like. Third, they had one piece of jerk chicken sitting there on the grill, cold. I opted not to get the Jerk. I will never eat from this place. Wish I could talk to the manager. Buying food isn’t only about getting the meal, each customer is the life blood of his/her Restuarant. It’s sad because we want local business to succeed but they are bad with service hence why people...
