DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! My husband and I went here for a nice dinner out on our last night in Fajardo. We walked in and the restaurant was not busy (maybe 5 tables were occupied), yet it still took several minutes to even be greeted. We were then seated and ordered drinks and our food. My husband received his mojito promptly, but it tasted like pure sugar and no alcohol. The fried cheese we had ordered arrived as an appetizer 45 minutes after we ordered it and without silverware, which we had to get ourselves from another table. Also, I ordered a glass of red wine, and was brought a white wine after 45 minutes, only because my husband reminded the waiter he had forgotten it, which was the first chance we had to get his attention since we had ordered 45 minutes prior. He then brought me the correct wine and then informed us that the restaurant was out of the “mash of the day” and asked if we would like a substitute. After choosing something else, we waited another half hour for our food as everyone around us who had come in after us had already received their food and were enjoying their meals. When our food finally arrived, it was the wrong order. The waiter tried to overcompensate for his realized error by trying to sell me on the rice I didn’t order. We got his attention and called him over and told him my order wasn’t correct and that this evening hasn’t been enjoyable as we had had to wait for a very long time only to get the incorrect items. I asked to speak to a manager, but instead he left and moved on with a different table. We then stood up to leave and were stopped by another waiter, who we explained our experience to. He told us the experience is not the norm and that the waiter was a rookie and should’ve told us that they only had 2 chefs that night. He told us if we ever were in town again we should try again. We left and had to scramble to find another place to eat since most of them were closed since we had waited so long. Definitely not worth our time and you should definitely find other places to go!! Never had an experience as awful as that and never felt so invisible...
Read moreWe poison ourselves with the food prepared by the chef of the restaurant Pasion por el Fogon. My friend and I are still sick from the improper handling of the chef. Unfortunately Chef Mirta, Supervisor Perez were not responsible for us who got sick from Eat in your restaurant. If you travel to visit PR do not risk eating there you can fall into an Emergency Room and they are not responsible. They were informed by phone and justified themselves claiming they felt it. Chef Mirta apparently left her restaurant and left in other hands that it is not a Chef who cooks. They give you the. Microwave overheated food. Mofongo very dry without flavor. Lobster dirty and with pieces of shell.
Read moreDo not come here if you are black or dark skinned or casually dressed. Even though it says casual. Really did not like how clearly these people working here are prejudice and racist. This is supposed to be a casual and group friendly restaurant with great food. I went with my partner to eat here. We were not dressed "fancy" like some were but we dressed clean and casual. We are also darker skinned than most Puerto Ricans. As soon as we came in others were being seated so it took a while for the greeter to tend to us. Before she approached me she spoke amongst her friends and then I asked for two tables, she told me there weren't any seats because something was "messed up". Skeptical over her little excuse my boyfriend and I waited 10 minutes to call the place up to see if they have a table for two. Sure enough when we called the woman who answered said yes they have tables for us, I told her that I was there earlier and we were told there were no seats for us, her answer was that the problem was "fixed". We went inside without telling her that we were the ones who called and sure enough they "still had a problem" where they couldn't seat us. We just left. We were clearly treated differently because of our race but then again, we should have known better than to go to this place being that there's a sign by the restaurant where it says that they have the right to deny services to people. I guess being dark is one of the reasons where they can deny you. Still living in the 60's apparently....
