This is worth it. For the price, which there are pricier excursions like this, it's worth it. The crew was friendly, funny and checked in on us constantly. Making sure if we needed anything, while also getting to everyone else. The ride out to the island is beautiful. Perfect cerulean blue water. The water at the small island feels slightly chilly because it's early in the morning, but quickly becomes perfect. There's not a lot of diversity in the fish or color in the coral reef you can find nearby, but it's still a good snorkeling experience. We saw some very large fish, blue fish, yellow ones, a flatfish and even crabs (I'm not a fish expert). Your time there is definitely long enough that after swimming and snorkeling, theres even more time for sunbathing, dancing on the boat or eating. The lunch they pack isn't fancy (it's a brown paper bag lunch), but it is SOOO delicious after being in the water so long. The pasta in it was actually super good and I wish there was more of it. The drinks were endless, and the vibe was always relaxed and fun. With Covid-19 being a thing during this excursion, we couldn't actually go on the beach of the island, but that didn't take away from the trip at all. Because of the size of the boat, this would be great for large group because you could all have fun (party) together. It's family friendly depending on who else is on the boat. 100% would do this again my...
Read moreThis is a great excursion. I would do it over and over again. The staff is super friendly and engaging with everyone on the boat. The catamaran is very comfortable and there's plenty of room for many. The music was fun and respectful to all cultures. The volume was loud enough to tolerate, which made it even more enjoyable. From the marina, you head off to the private island. While you are sailing, you enjoy light refreshments and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic with music. Once you reach the private island you have the option of going for a swim or heading to the beach or you can simply relax on the catamaran. Once it's lunch time, everyone reboards the boat for lunch and drinks. Once lunch is over, you can decide whether or not you want to relax on the boat or go back in the water or go for a walk on the beach for awhile. After some time, everyone reboards the boat so that they can sail over to the reef, where you can snorkel. After snorkeling, you reboard the catamaran and you have a beautiful sail back to the marina with music and dancing, if you'd like. Please do not forget to tip the captain and the crew. They work really hard to make sure you're having a nice time!!!
I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO "D'ANTHONY" AND "THE LEGEND" FOR JUST BEING SO GENUINE, KIND AND MAKING THIS EXCURSION SUCH A SPECIAL ONE FOR MY...
Read moreFound this company through a google search and read many great reviews. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience.. we booked a day before our scheduled tour over the phone and on the day of, we woke up at 6:30am to walk 6 blocks to our transportation pick-up location. At this time (after waiting 25-30 minutes) for our transportation, we were rudely advised by the rainforest transporter that they called and left a voicemail (which was never received) about the cancellation. This caused a true inconvenience for us due to the late notice all other companies left for the day. I am very sure that Barefoot catamaran snorkeling tour is a great and accommodating company and I truly wish we were able to join them, but we unfortunately did not receive that service that many boast of. There was a very evident gap in the communication between the company and the patrons. As a visitor on our last day in town, this was not the experience...
