Fall River Grill — Restaurant in Fall River

We've been here four times I keep trying to like this place because the prices are decent and is a good amount of choices on the menu but I just can't get past 2 to 3 stars.

Tonight we went here for a birthday dinner, and though it was nice of them to sing Happy Birthday they refused to take reservations so I wasn't able to bring a cake which is definitely a downside we just kind of had to pray that they had enough of room for us when we show up because "it's first come first serve" so that was the first strike against the night.

Then when we ask to split the bill into two separate bills they said "it's too complicated and they don't allow splitting of the bill" Not sure what's complicated about charging two separate tables it's no different, but for me that was a second strike because we could have simply have separated the two tables and just done two completely separate orders.

My son's pasta was hard as a rock so thankfully they did replace it with a hot dog and fries and took the price of the pasta off that was very appreciated.

I usually love Portuguese fish fillets but these were pink and wet and undercooked it was near inedible that was the third strike for me

Another issue was the Lapas. 10 tiny teeny things was all that was served. I understand price increase sometimes they're tough but they were the tiniest things I've ever seen and for the price the $15 was not worth it.

And lastly the sangria was basically juice and very sweet and overall not worth $15 whatsoever.

With all that being said my bottom line is I'm over giving Fall River Grill my money and time there are plenty of other establishments with Portuguese food in the city that surpass the quality, atmosphere and food that this is my bottom of the...

We heard such good things about this place. The tables are so close together all I could hear is everyone else's conversation. We ordered drinks, a Coke and vodka and pineapple. The waitress offered Malibu and pineapple instead. I instead received just pineapple juice in a kids size cup. When I brought this to her attention she brought the drink to the bar they added a shot to the same glass, brought it back over and hoped I liked it. The bread on top of the basket was the only positive very soft. However, the bottom was basically croutons. My husband's Portuguese soup had one piece of meat in the entire bowl. My salad came out 10 minutes AFTER he was done with his soup. The waitress came over while eating (food in mouth) to see if she could bring out our order. We both ordered steak my husbands came in a casserole looked great however they gave him my steak and gave me his well done. After swapping steaks his fries were in gravy so long they were so soggy and my eggs we so overcooked they were rubber. They forgot my husband's rice and when it did come out it was hard and a completely different color then mine. Like it was reheated. My rice was the same after a few bites off the top. I thought I cracked a tooth. We didn't bother to even look at dessert. Especially after being seated in the aisle seat where they all walk with plates and being bumped or nudged at least half a dozen times. What a shame, we had high hopes. First off I have to rave about the ambience of the atmosphere and it was very exceptional but accompanying this I have to speak on the the staff which was absolutely exquisite between my waitress Dina and the other young lady who I on my fault missed her name serviced us in such a way that blew me n my husband away. We dine frequently and never ever get service like this else where which is why we r drawn back to this place because of the professionalism from the establishment! While I dined there we chatted with another table and both agreed "WHAT GREAT SERVICE AND HEY WE SHOULD HANG OUT" and now we have a new set of friends! Staff at this place should be recognized for their outstanding perfomance! If your in town for a full belly of yummy Portuguese food then your an idiot not to stop here! Food is out of this world and never ever mind the staff that make you feel like your a family member!!! This will be my new hang out and I'm mad at myself I had this under my nose n never noticed!!!
