I really enjoy the atmosphere and food at Bob and Edith's, which for the uninitiated is a local chain of no-frills diners. I started off going to the original location, which I would recommend trying first, but this new one is pretty good as well. Recently I came here when I was working late. It still has the classic diner vibe on the inside, but doesn't resemble a diner on the outside so you could pass it by if you're expecting to see that iconic and instantly recognizable shape. My server was friendly and the food was ready quickly. They're taking some measures during the Covid era, including a hand sanitizer on the way into the restaurant, and the conversion of the counter to an area for customers to pick up their orders from Door dash, Ubereats, etc. I decided to try the massive B&E burger -- a double cheeseburger topped with bacon and a fried egg, as well as more traditional toppings -- and a side of home fries. Not to detract from how good it was (because it was really good), but I probably wouldn't order a B&E again unless I skipped a meal or two beforehand, since the thing is absolutely monstrous. It's a great burger though, and if you have the appetite for it then I highly recommend it!

Had a solid diner experience at Bob & Edith’s. The service was good, everyone was friendly, the food came out quick and tasted good, the portions were decent for the price, and I’d probably go back again. It’s also kid friendly and my picky eater son ate everything on his plate. The corned beef hash was definitely the best part, and I would recommend that. I think I’ll try the half smoke next time I go.

Bright and clean inside with an awesome staff! There is a giant chalkboard with specials listed. Two of us ordered from this and were not disappointed. The hashbrowns are great and the pancakes are over the top. I can't believe that I've never been here before because they have been open over 50 years. Definitely will be back the next time we are in Arlington.

I've been going to Bob and Edith's diner locations since 2018, so I know my way around their menu. I ordered a half smoke and hash browns, which both turned out pretty well. It was nice to have hash browns that weren't inundated in cooking oil, and the half smoke is pretty much what you can get at most places that sell them in the DMV.

I didn't get a chance to survey the bathroom, but the restaurant was clean (the location is rather new looking) and the servers were very friendly. They have two TV's that are tuned in to sports center, which is nice since you don't always see those in diners. The parking is very limited, so you may have to find street parking elsewhere.

Overall, it's diner food, so you'll love it if you're a fan. I should have gotten the iconic diner coffee, but I'm not sure i'd enjoy drinking hot coffee on a hot day. I can't really find a reason to dock a star for this location (though I may review other locations where I chose delivery and got very questionable results) since I was able to have a pleasant lunch experience at a more than...

We've been going here for quite some time and have always had a good experience - usually a bit loud, but the food was normally good.

This time, however, it was early afternoon on a weekday, not our usual weekend. It was quieter and many tables were unoccupied.

The three of us ordered breakfast and each one of the orders was wrong. Ordering crispy bacon (always worked in the past) got us soggy bacon to go with the eggs. The omelet ordered without green peppers, was loaded with green peppers and the pecan waffles were pancakes. The Pancakes went back to be replaced by the waffle that came when everyone else was mostly done - but the waffle was good.

This experience was the exact opposite of what I would have expected on a slow day.

It is unlikely that...
