Today we picked up food curbside at Taqueria Poblano. It was fast and safe. We frequently (at least twice a week) use this shopping center for restaurants and Harris Teeter. Some of the restaurants have capacity for small outdoor seating set up on the sidewalk and it looked like all of them have large "Grab and Go" signs for takeout food even if they don't have much in the way of seating. Over the years we have eaten at all of the restaurants in the shopping center and always been happy. Specifically, Peter Chang (best Chinese food around), Ghin Na Ree (excellent Thai food) and Pie-Tanza (great pizza and entree salads).
Of course, Harris Teeter is always excellent with great prices and a wide variety of products.
Navigating the parking lot can be a hassle at peak times because it is small, crowded and only has two entrance/exits. However, there is a free underground garage that is helpful. The entrance is hidden around the side of Harris Teeter. It is so unobtrusive that I never even knew it was there until I had been going there for a...
Read moreThis shopping center is a decent place. It has several restaurants (hamburger, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Pizza, Duck donuts, La Moo), alcohol store, nail polish, Harris Teeter. CVS, Gas station, Viet restaurant, Safe Way and pet store are also right across the street. It even has a post office mail box! I would have given this shopping center a 5-star if the food quality of these restaurants is better (The food here is not bad. It is decent, but not good value - example #1: sushi/sashimi combo costs $44 while it costs $26 with higher quality in Tribeca; example #2: spicy chicken, appetizer size, costs $15 (without rice). In manhattan, a similar dish, dinner size is $15 with rice, and much better spiced).
P.S. I noticed parking gets challenging on busy weekends. Luckily i...
Read moreIn general, the shops and businesses at this Shopping Center are really useful and the restaurants are great. We frequent PieTanza, Harris Teeter, Duck Donuts and often use some of the child related businesses/services there such as the dance studio for our daughter and JW Tumbles for both our children. The only major issue we continually have at this location is parking. The parking situation in the evenings makes we want to go somewhere else - and I often do out of convenience. The spaces closer to the businesses are the wider parking spaces, but the two rows of spaces along N Harrison are narrow and we often find a spot, but it's too narrow to allow easy exit and reentry to our vehicles. I imagine SUVs have a really hard time when forced to park on these...
