I recently visited Lantern House Restaurant in Falls Church and was blown away by the delicious flavors and authentic Vietnamese dishes. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with traditional lanterns and decor that transport you to Vietnam.
The menu at Lantern House Restaurant is extensive, with a wide variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I started with the fresh spring rolls, which were packed with fresh vegetables and shrimp, and served with a flavorful peanut dipping sauce. For my entree, I opted for the pho, a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup, and it did not disappoint. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles and meat were cooked to perfection. I also tried the shaking beef, a popular Vietnamese dish, and it was tender and full of flavor.
The service at Lantern House Restaurant was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who were happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions we had. The prices were also reasonable, especially given the generous portions and high quality of the food.
Overall, I highly recommend Lantern House Restaurant for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Vietnamese food in Falls Church. The cozy atmosphere, extensive menu, and friendly service make it a great spot for a casual dinner or a special occasion. I will definitely be returning to try more of their...
Read moreDecided to try this place base in the google review. The service was ok, the owner manager was our server he is a passive/ aggressive person, toward to be rude. We get the menu and I state that was our first time there so we need time to check our options but he still coming every minute to ask if we are ready, it was annoying and feel pressured just to order whatever… Then when finally ready to order, we just start to dictate the order when the phone rang and he runs to get the call( never said excuse me a second or something like that) then couple people walk in to pick up some orders and he still attended them, so we were like a good 10/ 15 minutes with the menu in our hand waiting for him after he was rushing us.
The food contrary at what it read in the review is eatable but not good, I ordered the seafood pho, but I ask not to have the fish balls, so I get a pho with 4 SHRIMPS, yes just 4 for $18 that it’s a ripoff, he said it come with calamari but I didn’t see any calamari in my pho. It’s expensive for the average price in vietnamese food, the ambience is not welcomed, the food is just ok and the service make you feel uncomfortable. No...
Read moreI do not understand why everyone is giving this place such great ratings. Either they had a bad day when they fulfilled my order or other people like this food. We ordered pho, vermicelli mixtures, fried rice, spring rolls, fried rolls. The fried rice tasted completely burn. It was like someone burned the onions or the garlic in the pan or even the rice and just serve the top part but once you burn the pot everything taste of burned food (we had to throw it away whole). The meat on the vermicelli dishes was cold and tough (one was beef and the other pork), from getting Vietnamese in other places, it wasn't really what I was expecting. The fried rolls were ok, not a big deal but one of the vermicelli combos came without it when we had ordered it and paid extra for it. The summer rolls were inedible, tough meat and all and no sauce (I can't remember a Vietnamese place that doesn't give sauce for the summer rolls...). Finally the Pho. I think that is why I gave it two stars and not zero. The Pho was good, and it was the only thing that wasn't bad. Was it the best pho I have ever have?...
