Authentic! No fuss, no cheesy Chinese decor. No tea! No rice dishes. But spicy real Chongching noodles with good “tooth” chew. Good wings (not overly breaded and only the flats), good bbq potatoes which were crunchy and pillowy and oily all at the same time. Yum.
This is the best place for real Chongching noodles.
The lamb on a skewer was also excellent.
Only Asians were eating here. Some people feel that a place must be authentic if there are only people from that country eating there… well, this is one of those places. At least for now. They have been open since February 2024 and they have no social media. I told the server, Lucy, to start an instagram for them and be their social media director.
Although they had no tea, they did bring us hot water. When you enter, a pitcher of cold water with a slice of lemon is brought to you. The glasses are metal chasers. The decor is photos of Chongching and skateboards. No reason why. It’s not a huge place with about eight tables and a chairs at the window bar.
Even without social media, they sell out of some of their food earlier in the day. Next time we will go for brunch.
I wish i could give them eight stars. This food is awesome and very true. My Chinese food expert said that I did well. She has not found very many places even acceptable.
This place is not “American Chinese” with sweet and sour pork. They have rabbit and intestines and other things on the menu. But also beef, lamb (yum again), cucumber salad which was garlicky, and lotus root sliced with spicy dressing. Did I mention that the wings were all flats and...

Been here a few times, trying a bunch of stuff—rice noodles, regular noodles, appetizers, skewers, and even some new menu drops. If you’re after that real Sichuan/Chongqing comfort food vibe, this is the spot.
I’ve ordered all the rice noodle dishes and most of the noodles. Personally, I’m team noodles—they’re just better IMO. The rice noodles are still solid, but they do get a bit salty toward the end. Definitely worth trying both to see what’s your jam.
The appetizers are all pretty solid, but just a heads up: the spicy lotus root and BBQ potatoes bring serious heat—might be too spicy for some. The steamed pork ribs with sticky rice are pure comfort food, like something my grandma would make.
Only downside is the parking—it can be rough. Some people park over the lines, taking up two spots, which doesn’t help. There’s a lot across the street that works, but you gotta detour to get back.
Overall, this is hands-down my go-to in the DMV for Sichuan/Chongqing food. They keep adding new dishes that are hard to find outside China, so if you’re into real Sichuan flavors, it’s...
Read moreWhen asking my chinese coworkers at work where to eat some good and somewhat "authentic" chinese food, they recommended Ynoodles.
It seems to be a play on the chinese pronunciation of 歪米线 . The first symbol is "wai" which is pronounced "y".
We ordered 3 noodles, chongqing small noodles, duck pickled noodle, and pepper pickled noodles.
The noodles for chongqing small noodles were completely wrong. The sauce and oil were nice and spicy, however. So if you're looking for authenticity, don't order it. However, it's a nice and spicy meal to have.
Pepper pickled noodles. They gave us the wrong item. So I won't judge this one.
Duck pickled noodles were quite good. Definitely would recommend with intestines. Intestines, however, are very hit or miss. Either you love it or hate it, similar to Durian.
The star was definitely the liang-fen, or cold jelly noodles. Really liked the black vinegar taste.
The rabbit was also numbing, spicy, and refreshing.
Overall, a...
