Semicolon Cafe — Restaurant in Falls Church

1️⃣ 🥪 I had the chicken sandwich — it came with a generous amount of fillings and a soft, fluffy egg. The chicken itself wasn’t super flavorful, but the pieces were large and paired well with the brioche bun. If you like this kind of soft sandwich (like the ones popular in China), you might enjoy it.

2️⃣ 🍰 The tiramisu latte came topped with whipped cream and a thick layer of cinnamon. The spice was strong at first, but after stirring, the flavor balanced out. Not overly sweet, and there were some chocolate bits too.

3️⃣ 🍮 The black sesame slush had corn bits, red bean paste, and crushed black sesame. It’s on the sweeter side, but quite refreshing when mixed well — great for a hot day.

4️⃣ 🍌 The banana pudding reminded me of the one from Magnolia Bakery. This one is less sweet, and the whipped cream is richer and heavier.

💰 Overall, the prices aren’t low, but not too expensive either. Worth trying if...

It was very obvious the store was still in the soft open stage. The lox and BELT sandwich were really good and had good flavor. Perfect fluffy eggs and a good amount of sauce. The blueberry ade and tiramisu latte were also delicious, and the coffee was strong. But the mango bingsoo was absolutely disappointing. There were only 2 pieces of mango and mochi and barely any toppings. Mostly tasted like milk. As well as the cup not even being filled all the way. The cornflakes were stale, which makes me think they batch made a bunch at once and left ours on the side for 10 minutes while making the other orders. Originally, I thought that was how they were made, but I saw another customer's mango bingsoo filled to the top with toppings. I am disappointed in the quality of the bingsoo considering 1 cup was $10. I recommend for the staff to either be re-trained or have more quality checks before serving...
