If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. The ridiculous response they posted to my initial review is worthy of me replying. The Manager was unprofessional and passive aggressive. Generally speaking when a restaurant provides bad food or service they accommodate the customer, not at beer and fish. Again if you value good food and service don’t go to this restaurant. We have been to beer and fish every time we come into town to visit family. Today was the worse experience. My husband ordered the Tiger Citrus salad, it was served with an excessive amount of wilted lettuce. He was picking it out and putting it on a dish. We notified the manager who offered to prepare another salad, since my husband had eaten half he didn’t want to start over. I asked the manager if he could take a few dollars off and he said yes. We get the bill he had taken exactly one dollar off and then we were over charged for wine the server told us they had on tap which meant it qualified for the happy hour price. So I asked to speak with the manager. He comes over annoyed and clearly bothered that we wanted to speak with him. He angrily told us he wasn’t given us more than one dollar off because “he ate the salad and there was only three pieces of wilted lettuce”. There was a lot more than three pieces of wilted lettuce, however I couldn’t believe he was taken this stance and attempting to argue with me over two dollars. The customer service got even worse when I told him we were over charged for the wine. He proceeds to show me a menu with the price of the wine and I explained that the server told us that the wine was on tap and qualified for the happy hour price. His response was well he’s new the price is on the menu. My response was the server went and verified that the wine was on tap at the bar returned and confirmed it with us which is when we ordered the wine . He conceded and reimbursed us for the wine. I can’t get pass his poor attitude and customer service. If you value good customer service and appreciate being treated respectfully when spending your hard earned money don’t go to...

Very Disappointed. We went here because had people tell us it was good. It's my hubby's birthday so we thought we would give it a try. We arrived at 6ish, was seated right away but then another table was seated after us and they got their drinks before we even saw our waitress! We ordered King crab for my husband and I ordered their only steak on the menu the Ribeye. Got our food probably over 30 minutes of waiting, my steak arrived M-Well & I ordered M-rare. The waitress didn't come back to see how food was so I went to find her to tell her steak was over cooked. She agreed, got Mgr. He said sometimes have trouble with ovens, easy fix. Keep your shrimp & potatoes. I waited over 15 min. finally went to find waitress and said forget it, my husband is done eating or close, my potatoes are cold. She said I will tell Mgr. he came over said it's almost out, it's a great piece of meat you should take it with you. He said I comp. your drinks and took 1/2 off for steak. I said fine, not sure why!! I am taking a steak home to eat at my house, cold and by itself but whatever I was tired of waiting. so, here we thought steak was coming oh no waitress comes by and says it should e out in 10 min. I am thinking. .what!! It's a frickin Med. Rare steak and we have waited over 30 min. What a joke!! Got home steak was average. Tough not tender! You would think for $44 steak it would be better! Not impressed with this restaurant and for sure Mgr. lacking customer skills. I have been in Restaurant Business for over 20 yrs. Not handled...

This place is very big, high ceiling and a lot of seating space, it’s in a back alley right off Broadway.

The food is amazing, I had a combo of #3 fish and chips, I upgraded to lobster bisque of $2 extra to replace the chips, it’s $2 worth spending. The lobster bisque is very flavorful and you can taste bites of little lobsters inside. The size of both of my fish are pretty generous. The fish is flaky and fresh, outside is crunchy, one of the best fish and chips I had ever had. I had the combo so got to try both cod and halibut. But I wish they have combo of all three fishes

I had crab cake for appetizer, which js very good size and filled with crab that you can easily see those crab meat. We also enjoyed the happy hour for $5 beer, the size is great for this happy hour. You can choose any draft beer for this price. Definitely recommend o take advantage to come here to eat/ drink early

Service was not great, not sure if it was because it was earlier before their dinner time around 5pm, saw many waiter/waitress were standing near he bar talking but we were placed in the very back, hard to get anyone’s attention to order or add food. Only had a chance to ask the server when they bring the food here, didn’t come back to check on us, even there were only two tables in the back that time and the whole place is...

This was my second visit to Beer & Fish Company. My first visit left a lot to be desired so I was hoping that my second time around would be awesome... For starters I was seated in an area with a direct view of what I assume to be the pot storage for the restaurant. I love an open kitchen concept but this definitely was not that. I ordered grilled oysters, shrimp scampi, crab dip, a crab cake, and crab dip. The best dish on the table was the oysters! They were a little small but had amazing flavor. The pasta was a bit dry, but thank heaven for the sauce the oysters were covered in, I just tossed my pasta in it. The crab dip should be removed from the menu immediately. It was very loose, fishy, and had absolutely no crab meat real or imitation. The crab cake needed salt and a little love. I didn't have a drink but I could tell by the patrons next to me the margaritas are awesome. I recommend checking out Beer & Fish during happy hour to save yourself some money, trust me. It's an awful feeling to spend upwards of $90 for a meal that was not awesome.

First time here. Tried the crab cakes (tasty), coconut shrimp (wonderful!), fish tacos (delightful!), and wild rice filled mushrooms (I must have missed the part that they were smothered in cheese which I don’t eat. Had I been aware I wouldn’t have ordered them. But I managed to rescue the shrooms and eat just those.) We loved The atmosphere. All of the windows made it inviting. I used google maps to get us there and it took a drive around the block to realize you can’t see it from the road. My only less than positive observation was that the gals putting together the mussel dishes did not have their hair pulled back. Whenever I make food I’m giving to others, I am always careful to pull my hair back so I don’t get hair in their food. This restaurant is definitely going to be added to our list of fun Fargo restaurants to eat at. We’ve already planned to eat here before the next show we will be watching at the Fargo theater!
