McDonald's — Restaurant in Fargo

I am giving three stars, based on the fact that the only thing I ever order from this location is a large pop and a large fry. I have a special needs child who has severe eating issues and lives off of McDonald's French fries, so we visit this location on a daily basis. I love that with the app you can spend a buck and get a large pop and a fry. Typically we go through drive through and I have zero issues, though the drive through gets relatively busy they are pretty quick at moving the line. The last two times I have personally gone into the store, nobody greets customers, the staff that takes orders are plain, blunt and rude. Not a single staff member smiles. The staff is also so focused on drive through, that they tend to forget people in the store have placed orders as well. So for a large fry and pop your waiting over 7-10 minutes. Along with the absurd wait times, they make your beverage right away and rather than offering it to the customer they let it sit on the counter and melt. During the summer I do not want a sweaty, watered down beverage I want a crisp, ice cold refreshing one. During this last instance a manager over heard me make a phone call to my husband, and she quickly got up went to the back made me a fresh pop and retrieved my sons fries and also gave me a coupon this I appreciated. I feel like some extra training needs to be made with the workers on times, waiting on customers and customer services overall. I can't say that I will never return to this location as it's closer to my home, however I am less inclined to ever actually walk into the store to order, especially for something as easy as a mello yellow and a fry should be a...

I wanted chicken nuggets again. The indoors area was closed, so I had to go to the drive-thru. I ordered 20 chicken nuggets, 2 sweet & sour cups, 4 honey packs, and a mocha frappe with whipped cream. I didn't know the frappe came with chocolate syrup on top and chocolate is not something I really eat much of at all. I paid at the first window. At the second window, I was first given my frappe, and I saw chocolate syrup on top (eew). I quickly apologized and told the worker that I only asked for whipped cream. I wanted to pretty much put the blame for it being made wrong on myself. They made me another, and the guy apologized, and I told him it was my fault for not being clear about the frappe. Again, I didn't know it came with the syrup. They were very kind and positive! A girl came to the window with the guy and we were joking about random things. I knew there were people behind me, and I didn't want to make them wait any longer, since I had already received my meal. Since I was staying at a hotel due to busted pipe issues at my apartment (amongst other things), it felt good to be able to smile. I felt like I hadn't smiled or been happy ever since I moved to my apartment in Fargo. When I got back to the hotel room, I saw that they had given me over 8 sweet & sour cups, & this time I had my honey packs! This McDonald’s…IS. A. NIGHTMARE!!!

We placed two mobile orders and went through the drive thru. The cashier told us we couldn’t do two mobile orders and had to come inside for one of them, which we did. We spoke to a manager about how inconvenient that was, and he said that you can actually do up to two mobile orders in drive thru and that he would talk to that employee.

About a week later, we went to drive thru once again with two mobile orders. The drive thru cashier once again said we could not have two mobile orders. I politely said, “Yeah, you can do that.” He said, “No, you can’t. You will have to go through the drive thru twice to pick up two orders.” That was the stupidest thing I’ve heard in a long time, plus I knew he was wrong, so we opted to get one order in drive thru and once again had to walk inside to pick up the second. Interestingly, we spoke to a manager on this occasion as well, and she said “Yeah, you can have up to two mobile orders in the drive thru.”🙄

On a third occasion, knowing what a headache their drive thru was, we placed an order and went inside. We waited for over 20 minutes for a simple order. The inside was very crowded, and lines were backed up. Not exactly fast food.

I know service at fast food establishments sucks anywhere you go, but the employees at this one are exceptionally incompetent. Don’t go here unless you feel like tearing your hair...
