[Editor's Note: You can only have 1 review for Google and with this new post my 1st two reviews had to be deleted for space. They were as equally unflattering towards the business.] 2021 09-03 * Ordered a Mushroom & Swiss ($11.25) and substituted the bun for grilled sourdough. The 1/4" patty was underseasoned and grossly undercooked (see photo). The crinkle cut fries (requested well-done/extra crispy) were hot, slightly crispy but also very underseasoned (if seasoned at all). I asked the server if all burgers were cooked this way and he said no so I politely asked if the cook would remake it. It was remade (mostly done) but the grilled toast had a slight crunch but mostly hot bread with butter. I wasn't waiting for a 3rd try. My water went unfilled which was surprising as I sat at the counter and every employee walked by me a dozen times yet none cared that my empty cup sat at the edge. When my server brought the check, I finally asked if I could have a refill. There was no apology for the undercooked meal (and the added wait time) nor any offer of a comped dessert or certificate to come back and try them again. I can assure you that hospitality does not have a residence at this establishment. This is my 4th visit in the past couple of years here and every meal has been just as unsatisfactory as the last. I kept trying to support this local eatery but cannot find a reason to return. I've done my share of time in the food service industry and do not have particularly high standards but these experiences have left me in total bewilderment. If Guy Fieri were to visit this eatery he would have to change the name of his show to, "Diners, Drive-Ins, Dives & Dumps. ____________________________________________________ 2020 07-06 (*** out of 5) Ordered the chicken strip dinner to go. $11.75 (ish) before tax + tip. If you get the Chicken Strip Basket the strip count is (3) and comes with fries and toast. The $2 upcharge for the dinner (which I ordered) gets you (4) chicken strips, steamed veggies, a side salad and a roll (no toast). The (4) chicken tenders were overcooked and had chunks of chicken in them molded and pressed into a mostly mixture of from whatever nuggets are made. These are not made from sliced chicken: tender or breast. The crinkle-cut fries were a bit under-portioned for an "upgraded" dinner option and were very bland. I don't know if they purposefully do not season fried food and leave it up to the patron but nothing I ate had any seasoning at all. The fries were limp with no crisp exterior; the only tension in the fry was from what forms as they cool and is more of a staleness texture than a crispy one. They were brown so I can't say they were under fried but I doubt they were freshly fried when I ordered them. The side salad was fine but both my blue cheese dressing cups were mostly chunks of cheese and little dressing. Normally it's exactly the opposite almost everywhere else here it doesn't function well as a dipping sauce. The steamed vegetables were cold. Barely warmed by the fried food with which it was packaged. Honestly, I'd rather this come with crudité so something has a crunch in this dinner. The young woman host/server was very friendly and polite. I will always frequent a place with great staff and adequate food over rude staff/poor service with great food. I want to give my money to nice people. So far my experiences at Randy's have been just that: nice people, mostly good service but sub-standard food. I have a few more menu items (non-baked good, pastry, pie, etc.) I want to try before giving up on them completely. I really want to support local but I also want great food! I know there are more local diner places I need to try in order to find a worthy event on a consistent.

Randy’s is the definition of hole in the wall diner! If you want a great, simple, and tasty breakfast with fast service they are your spot. Personally I just eat breakfast every time I go because it’s so elite, they do have a dinner and lunch menu later on in the day but I’m a big breakfast at all times of day person. If you go for breakfast, you need to get one of two things: their buttermilk pancakes or their coffee cake. You have to get one. The pancakes stan as the best I’ve ever had— they’re buttermilk, so they’re sweet and soft and all over delicious. The coffee cake is house made and famous at Randy’s, and holy cow do I crave that sometimes. You can’t go wrong with a skillet and their omelettes are massive and loaded with goodness. If you go at any time before 1pm on a weekend it’s going to be insanely busy. People know Randy’s is the breakfast spot, and especially for post church eats on Sundays. In high school my family and I would come every Sunday. The hostess still knows our names because we were and are such regulars, lol. Can’t beat the classic hole in the wall!

So my friend Bradley started a job #RandysUniversityDiner I asked him to get me a PHILLY CHEESESTEAK one of my favorite sandwiches in the world. With Orion Rings... but he got fries instead... The Philly Sandwich: Roast beef, andouille sausage, or turkey topped with onions, green peppers, and pepper-jack cheese served on a hoagie bun. This was so PERFECT and it stood up bite after bite with nothing falling out even till the last bite. PERFECTLY seasoned, though I wanted saltier, (personal taste) Overall I like the meal, some nick-picking more so of personal taste. The fries did not have any salt but I guess that is their normal standard policy, but it was good. I will definitely be coming back and trying other dishes as well. I was impressed.

Went on Saturday the 18th around 3:30 PM for an early Father's Day dinner with my family. I have been to Randy's 3-4 times, and it has always been wonderful, except for Saturday. I have been bragging about Randy's to my family, and I finally convinced them to go for our Father's Day meal. The food was an absolute miss. The French dip my brother received was very, very sad. Very little meat, and the meat he did receive was chunks of dark brown roast beef. We LOVE greasy spoon diner type places, but he wasn't even able to finish his sandwich. I ordered the lotsa meat skillet (which I order every time I come) and the hash browns tasted like bad oil? They had this horrible flavor to them. Along with that, my beloved coffee cake (the dish that I tell everyone they need to go to Randy's for!) was so dry that I couldn't even use my fork to cut into it. It was not overbaked, I think it had gotten dry, then had been reheated, and gotten hard in a few spots. My moms hot roast beef sandwich also had a very small amount of meat, and the meat on her sandwich looked weird as well. I will say that our server was very kind of talkative. Another negative is that when we were leaving the restaurant the cook (I'm assuming based on her apron and outfit) was chain smoking on the sidewalk right in front of our car. She couldn't even smoke behind the building. Every experience I've had at Randy's before this has been pretty positive, but this time it...

Love the food, loved working there(even though it was like three or two days); & that coworker girl, i forgot her name... uff God bless her; but they never paid me the check. Never sent it by mail or none. I was polite enough to tell the manager I was quitting because I had a better employment deal & all he said was "ok" so i kept the shirt & their hat. Good food though love it. But hey if you read this hope that money helped you on some idk. I really didn't needed it, but yeah, to work there idk... feel is too much work for just $16.50 an hour. My experience in the kitchen tells more like to be started at that pay rate. But really enjoyed working does days.(just because of that girl honestly🤣) I worked at the newest one in Fargo. His name I don't remember, but my name is Jose Santa. I know the policy for the hat & the shirt but I don't think they cost two or three days of work there. I don't know how to respond to the reply so I'm just editing this, but yeah. The newest Randy's. The manager has like fishing tattoos on him & it's been maybe more than a year or at least close to it so I bet the check got embezzled or something. I really don't care. But if you want to send it let me know. I'll for sure take it. I can send my email if you...
