Be careful. The manager charges for items you don’t receive. They charged for a noodle soup missing more than half the ingredients and refused to compensate. Instead of telling me they were out of stuff, they served it and expected me not to notice. Didn’t ask for substitution. Or if I want anything else. When I pointed out the mistake, the owner got mad and threatened police if I didn’t pay full price. They sent help from Bon Chan to threaten me. And wouldn’t give me any other option except 10 percent off next order. But considering the price of the noodle soup and what was missing, 10 percent doesn’t cover an almost 20 dollar soup missing almost everything except for imitation crab. I asked if I could sub and thats when they threatened the police. The last owner was so nice and treated me and my family like best friends. She always did the right thing. And this owner is so greedy and expecting you not to notice the lack of quality or what you order. They just want you to pay for what you didn’t get and won’t make it right. He was rude and yelling at his waitress about it. They aren’t friendly and greedy. They charged an extra 2 dollar for a refill on a soda I didn’t even get and told me I was a lie when all we had were waters on the table. This owner is terrible. I will support any...
Read moreDelicious food, quick service, reasonable price. We ordered chefs special fried rice with chicken, Pad Vonsen with chicken and crispy rolls. Lip smacking and tasty food. Crispy rolls are much recommended. It’s a unique appetizer which e can’t find in other Thai restaurants. Our daughter who never liked chicken loved the appetizer. Fried rice was perfect just the correct ratio for chicken and veggies. Usually restaurants mess up fried rice either adding too much soy sauce or few chicken pieces or lot of veggies. But they had it perfect here. Pad Vonsen tasted delicious as well. Perfect blend of thin glass noodles with right amount of spice. The complimentary tofu soup at the beginning was a warm welcome on a cold windy evening. Price was reasonable. $38 for a small family of 3. 1 appetizer 2 entrees and 1 side of steamed veggies. Made our one of go to Thai restaurant around Farmington hills Southfield Novi region. Overall...
Read moreI have been looking for a Thai restaurant to replace Thai Palace in Dearborn which closed several years ago. I stumbled across Bangkok Sala while on my way to visit my son.
Staff is very pleasant and accommodating, cafe is small but very clean and neat. My favorite Thai dish is Pad Num Mun Hoy with scallops and Shrimp Fried Rice, both hot/spicy. Yesterday, when I got home and opened the container of Num Mun Hoy, I noticed it felt VERY light. Upon opening it, I discovered MOSTLY broth/liquid, small scallops about the size of a dime and some green onions. And it had a sweeter taste to it than before which I thought was odd/different. And I paid $14 for it 😳 Now, I have had this dish from them before and it was MUCH better so, maybe yesterday was an 'off' day 🤷🏽 But, I believe that a restaurant's food should be consistently prepared.
Last thoughts: they ARE very difficult...
