This is the same Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken goodness that I came to know and love back in Charlotte. Great quality, wonderful flavor.
Some things to know because it could be confusing for first time customers: "Wings" are either flats or drumettes. "Drums" are chicken legs.
While the quantity of meat you get on a drum is good, there's something magical about the perfect skin to meat ratio on the wings.
If you haven't tried it already, you owe it to yourself to try the pickled radish as a side. It's SO good and is a perfect counterpart to the fried chicken.
This franchise does need to size up their sides though. If my first order is any indication, the amount of cole slaw or radish you get compared to other Bonchon franchises is laughably small.
Finally, take the one-star reviews with a grain of salt. Are the two-hour wait times crazy? Yes. Are they a little under water right now? They sure are. But it's only week #1, they just opened a super popular franchise in a big market and there's going to be some growing pains. Place your online order early, have some patience & understanding, and they'll be rocking and rolling in no time.

Okay, we saw the previous reviews so we were prepared for the wait. Given they are a bit pricy and the long wait, we expect the chicken be super delicious. However, when we finally got our food, they were all COLD. And they only gave me one side when it should be two as listed on the receipt. Yes indeed, the skin was very crispy even the chicken was already cold, to the extent we need to bite really hard to get it off, and the inside chicken is very dry, not tender or juicy at all, on top of that, it’s cold, I feel like I was eating a rock…Spicy flavor is really really spicy so be prepared for that, and soy garlic is very very salty, I was drinking water the whole night after ate them. We ended up throwing away some spicy chicken. We also ordered the fried glass noodle with beef, surprised how small the bowl is. Overall I don’t recommend, for this much money we pay, we can get double size and way more better tasty fried...
Read moreIf you’re craving crispy, flavorful fried chicken, Bonchon is the place to go. Their Korean-style fried chicken is nothing short of amazing—perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The double-frying technique gives it that signature crunch, and the sauces take it to the next level.
The soy garlic glaze is a standout—savory, slightly sweet, and packed with umami. If you like heat, the spicy option delivers a bold, fiery kick without overpowering the flavor. The balance between crunch and sauce is just right, so the chicken never gets soggy.
Beyond the chicken, Bonchon offers tasty sides like kimchi coleslaw, pickled radish, and bulgogi fries, all of which complement the meal beautifully. The portions are generous, making it a great spot for sharing with friends or family.
Service is usually quick, and the atmosphere is casual but welcoming. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, Bonchon consistently delivers high-quality Korean fried chicken that’s hard to resist. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing...
