My husband and I (were) 30+ year residence of Four Corners. We moved seven years ago to Texas, ya'll. I will tell you - the struggle is real. There is nothing on this planet better than "Northern" New Mexican food. We've been in a dry Mexican food desert for seven long years. We've been back many times and always enjoyed northern New Mexican food on our return visits, but I must say, last night's dinner was the best, perfectly flavored northern New Mexican food I've ever experienced - and it's not in Santa Fe or Albuquerque! It's here, at Francisca's. We both ordered the number 7 combo plate. Yes, I know it's tons of food, but we wanted left-overs for breakfast - didn't happen. The plate comes with a hand-fried corn tortilla taco, a ground beef enchilada, a cheese enchilada, a relleno, a tamale, rice and beans. Our meal started off with chips and salsa ($2) - warm chips with fire roasted salsa. So delicious, we thought, "Uh oh, this is so good it's bound to go downhill from here." It didn't. It just got better. You know, when you take the first bites of your plate, everything tastes really good, but as you eat, the meal gets less? This meal was just delicious with every bite from first to last. We ordered ours with red chili - which contributed so much to the meal. It's the kind of flavor you want to drink from a bowl - that's how good it was. I know I sound like a raving lunatic but it was really that good! Our favorite was the red pork tamale, although everything else was perfect too, including the rellano, which is seldom done well. Honestly, this was the best northern New Mexican meal I've ever had. Our thanks to Alberto Rubio (our server) and kudos to his mom and her "best I've ever...

This place is always so great. The owner and staff are so humble and caring it's like your eating at your loving Aunt and uncles home. No joke you just can tell when the atmosphere of a place is good or not an this place they take care of you.

The food is delicious, they even let you add things and they are upfront and explain if they are our or need to make adjustments to the menus with you. They check on you and make sure your drinks are full and that your food is how you like it. I really appreciate that. Super professional, but kind every time we go.

We always say thank you and let them know they did well for us. They are so humble here. It's that Soul Mexican food they have the kind that feels like a authentic Mexican family gathering, where even if you tried to cook it at home it wouldn't be exactly the same. They put passion into this food and care. You can tell.

Thanks for always being kind and amazing! Really appreciate how they are...

On a cold and windy February evening, we absolutely enjoyed dining at FRANCISCA’S MEXICAN RESTAURANT in Farmington, NM. This is a Mexican restaurant, but we are into the Paleo Diet, so we asked our server Albert if we could substitute some of the menu items – he assured us of course we could! Okay, great! So my wife ordered the Chile Verde and I ordered the Steak Picado – but instead of the usual beans, papas and sour cream, we both substituted extra tomatoes, lettuce and guacamole. The versatile and expert cooks Terrance and Kyle went right to work, and prepared two super delicious custom plates for us – everything was fantastic! – both the pork and steak were perfectly cooked, tender and mouth-watering. Restaurant atmosphere was a very pleasant “home-town” ambience, with lots of local patrons, service was super-fast and friendly, and prices were extremely reasonable. Definitely highly recommended – especially for such great...

First time! The flavor in all the dishes was very DELICIOUS. From the complementary chips and salsa to the sopapillas. Got today's special of stuff sopapilla (refried beans than ground beef inside) with cheese on top, refried beans and rice for the side. Couldn't forget the chili so I got Christmas on the side. I made the chili sauce my dipping sauce. Yum! The sauce wasn't burning my tongue but the flavor made up for that. Other dish was a chili rellano, two beef enchilada, taco with refried beans and rice. Only complaint I heard about this dish was the membrane of the chili rellano wasn't gutted. Other than that, both dishes were devoured. Wonderful Hole In The Wall Restaurant!!! Must go!!

Look, I live three blocks away and been ordering in or carryout for 7 years. The owner is a solid person that cares about the business and reputation. The help...is awful. Order on a night he is not there (carryout) and you will get screwed. On top of that, when calling to complain about portion size and charges, the help REFUSED to take my number to have owner call back. Said they were "too busy and it was my responsibility" Two items ordered...see pics. First steak picado 18.00, second beans and rice side $10.00. In restaurant you would never be served like this. If owner is around, you would never get these small portions. Employees need to be replaced.
