La Cabana — Restaurant in Farmington

My wife and I came here about 2 1/2 months ago just to try out a recently reopened restaurant and we have been back 4 more times since then. I can’t say enough about the excellent service, delicious well prepared food and the peaceful atmosphere. Three time I brought friends to introduce them to the experience that me and my wife have been enjoying. Prices are very reasonable for the portions served. The only thing lacking is alcoholic drinks because their liquor license application is pending, but when they begin to serve alcohol, this place will be the bomb. After living in Farmington for almost 12 years and frequenting a wide variety of Mexican restaurants in town, I can honestly say La Cabana has by far some of the most consistent food, service and ambiance. Everything that I have had on the menu or lunch specials has been great (which is a pretty wide variety), the salsa is awesome and almost always the exact same in flavor and heat, and they do not generally charge for refills.

We had a last minute Retirement get together and called every restaurant in town. La Cabana was the only place that would take our reservation for 20 as every other place was booked for Christmas parties. When we arrived the staff had an area sectioned off to accommodate our entire party. They greeted all of us with a friendly smile and were quick to take our drink orders. Ordering our food went very smooth and our meals were brought out to us so fast. The food was excellent for the price and we were able to split tickets without an issue.
