I thought today would be like any other time I typically order take out but I was sadly mistaken. After a long day of work, I stopped by to grab dinner. I ordered a steak taco and two tostadas (one chicken and one steak). Once I got home I realized my order was prepared incorrectly. I asked for no tomatoes (correct) and light onions and sour cream(incorrect) on the tostadas. The tostadas did not have any onions, sour cream, cheese, and barely any lettuce. The chicken was even tough.
I called and expressed my frustration and the caller asked "if I wanted to come by today or another day". I advised I was going to come back today because I didn't live far.
Upon my return not only was I not greeted, there were a group of employees in the corner conversing among themselves while looking back and forth at me. After a couple minutes, I was given a couple containers with the missing ingredients.
Although, I brought the order back no one bothered to take a look to see how it was mishandled or to even offer to prepare it again. I was never given an apology for having to return to their establishment or nor did they offer the opportunity for to make it right.
The entire experience felt very dismissive and proved to me that I never have to step foot into that...
Read moreBe aware this location gives out coupons for (presumably good) reviews, and has a big sign saying "we are not responsible for food when it leaves the building." Red flag. To be fair, the tacos look great but the chicken fajita I ordered came with refried beans that had pieces of lard just swimming on top. Never even mixed in. It came with no chips, the meat was not seasoned much at all, and a couple of the smallest containers of salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. I would have rated this place one star but the little 1oz container of guac was incredible! All in all I recommend going to El patio down the street, where prices are about the same and the food is way better, unless you plan on just getting a few tacos. It is a taqueria after all so I guess that's the only thing you should ever order here. They were only $2.5 on the day when on special, so I guess the joke is on me. Now I am about to go somewhere else to eat because that was the smallest fajita I ever received...
Read moreSW Detroit Native here, so I'm very selective about flavor, quality and authenticity. I passed on my way to an early morning appointment and circled back afterward, arriving at opening time. I was craving huevos con chorizo with horchata. The parking lot was quickly starting to fill - right at opening- a good sign! The smell walking in was another good sign. Friendly welcome was very nice! I ordered, went to wait in my car and watched several people come and go, they were hustling inside. I got home with my order and it was perfect and plentiful! The chorizo was not greasy, the food was cooked and seasoned right, rice was tender, beans very good taste and consistency. Tortillas look homemade, I would've preferred flour over corn tortillas, but that is personal preference. I think the horchata was a mix, but still refreshing. Overall very pleasing to my taste buds. I would recommend trying them. I'm already looking forward...
