On our visit to the Bhaktha Hanuman Temple in Farmington hills, we first visited the Shiva temple, which is conveniently located at the front. The Hanuman temple is situated at the back, and between the two temples, there is a huge open area where you can park. There are also some parking spots directly in front of the Shiva temple. The temples appear to be in a temporary setup while awaiting further construction, which is why they are actively seeking donations to build a larger, permanent structure.
Our experience at the Shiva temple was calming. After doing darshan, we performed an abhishekam to a small Shiva linga. With no priest present, it allowed us to take our time and immerse ourselves in the rituals at our own pace.
At the Hanuman temple, we attended an aarthi, followed by prasadam at the food section, which is conveniently located right across from the Hanuman murthy. The Hanuman ji murthy is impressively large and radiates a powerful presence. We waited for the final aarthi, during which the priest performed the closing aarthi, marking a serene end to our visit.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience filled with positive vibes. I highly recommend visiting for a peaceful and spiritually...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite temple. It has a great positive energy and peaceful vibe. I used to frequent this temple when we were in Farmington hills. Small simple temple situated in an old building. They have plans to move the temple to a new building in a larger plot of land in Northville.
The majestic statue of lord Hanuman is 16 feet in height. One of the tallest idol in United States that is wonderfully built. They decorate the idol in different outfits and ornaments. During my last visit, we had a special dharshan of Hanuman adorned in sandal paste within a mirror mansion. It was a special opportunity to look and get his blessings.
Hanuman Chalisa chanting is done every Saturday evening. The temple has a devotional spirit and good for mediation. Authentic hindu rituals are conducted here. Priests are very friendly and knowledgeable. They conduct daily, weekly and periodic events. Well organized events conducted all year around. Priestly services are offered in the temple or at devotees home.
Everyday they serve free prasadams. On special occasions they serve a huge vegetarian spread. They also sell snacks and sweets on a reasonable price. They have flowers and...
Read moreThis temple is located in an old building behind another old building. The statue of Lord Hanuman is majestic, probably 15 or 20 feet in height. Everyone here was friendly, easy-going and helpful. There were three Archakas when we visited. The "Pradhaana Archaka" is Sri Vijayaraghavan, popularly known as "Maama" ( ಮಾಮ, माम), the founder of the temple, an incredibly friendly and warm, welcoming gentleman. He readily allowed me to take as many pictures as I wanted. The front building, near Grand River, has been converted to a Shivaalaya, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are plans to move both temples to a new building in a larger plot of land nearby. I found this temple to be the most serene, lovely and welcoming of all temples I have visited, probably because of the lovely people there. I highly recommend visiting...
