A&W of Farmington — Restaurant in Farmington

I believe that their fountain A&W root beer is sold as the real A&W root beer which is not cool and should not be allowed. Because the one I bought was not sealed as it would be in a store(it should be sealed) and it was diluted which happens when you pourfountain drinks. The food is okay, but the hot dogs could use some improvement or an upgrade. Maybe a better hot dog. The service was OK, but the way they have it set it up you are sort of forced to Tip and that shouldn't be done. A tip is earned and a willing deed of the customer not the first thing you see while they're standing there, holding the credit card terminal to your face and holding your food in their other hand. Then they don't offer a 10% tip either. It's 15% or above. I will start going to a different A&W because going here I am forced to tip and at most other A&W's I am not forced to tip just to get my food; and shouldn't it be up to the customer whether or not...

Management or whatever changed since my last review and now this place is pretty good after I gave it another change. I'd give this place a shot.

The experience was not great.

The shake itself was pre-melted before it got to my hands.

When trying to order, I waited about 10 minutes after pressing that button to order before I heard anything from anyone, I wasn't sure if it was working or not.

They also only have 1 person doing every single car's order. I had no idea how long I was going to be waiting before getting my order of just a milkshake.

We came here in 1/23/25 after neurology appointment for our dog. Nostalgic Feeling as soon as you drive up and park. Push button when ready to order. They ask if you would like a tray or bag up the food. Since it was cold we opted for our food to be bagged up. The burgers were made to order hot burger and cold veggies the fries were pipping hot and of course the A&W root beer was ice cold! This establishment had great friendly service. A little wait time but worth the wait, I would recommend this location and hopefully we will be back if we are back in the area since it is an hour and 45 minutes away from...
