I've been coming here since I moved to the area four years ago. Ting, the owner, is sweet as could be and extremely knowledgable. She is informative about the nuances, aromas, flavors, history, and origins of all the different teas she carries in her beautiful tea shop. There is a huge variety of loose leaf available that you can purchase from 1oz and up.
There are a ton of different teas for people to smell and several prepared in pots for sampling. Surely there is something for every tea lover here. Also, they carry lovely teapot sets on sale as well as infusers, strainers, tea travel mugs (on my wishlist!), tea to-go, and variety packs to try different kinds at home. The store is set up in a way that makes it easy for people to walk around and explore the wide variety of teas that they have.
Recently I picked up the Strawberry Slim Pu-erh (which I absolutely love), Malasa Chai, Dragonfruit (a blend of green and black with hint of fruitness), Passionfruit Jasmine, and a traditional Chinese Oolong tea that has flowery orchid-like taste. All of them have been excellent. I am drinking the Passionfruit Jasmine as I type this up. After having tea from here it is difficult to return to bagged teas from the grocery store. If you like tea, you definitely want to check...
Read moreBlessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8). What a amazing place!!! Yes I feel the love in this place. Call it God's Tea House. I have come here once before but I use to go to it when it was in blue black square. There are so many wonderful teas to choose from and so it took me a little while to choose. Sabrina who works there is like a little munchkin of the Lord ushering everyone in and offering them tea. She helped me find and decide on a tea and guided me on the type of sugar and the choices. I wanted to have it all but this will leave room for next time. I am grateful this place is open and it serves the community by nourishing their bodies, spirit and mind. If you come here you won't regret it. Your taste buds will rejoice and mine sang Praise God over and over again. I will continue to come back when I'm around as I live a bit from the The Green TeaHouse. Trust me it's the best tea shop around to get ready made teas. Thank you Sabrina and all the beautiful people who work there!!! Much gratitude for your work and devotion. May we rejoice and play as small children and drink tea from The Green Tea...
Read moreI rarely fall in love with new businesses in the area, but the Green Teahouse has blown me away and captured my heart. Everything from the feel of the place as you first step over the threshold, the tea that they serve, and the incredible staff is beyond reproach. The atmosphere is sacred, and you feel peace descend upon you from the moment you enter. Each experience I've had there, even when the place has been crowded, has been beautiful.
There are several teas I've discovered that I've bought in large quantities and can't get enough of. The staff is also well trained by the owner who has an intuitive sense for matching people to teas. The first one she selected for me-the raspberry pu-erh- is an enduring favorite. That said, each and every blend she has suggested finds its way into a regular rotation in my house.
The blends are delightful and flavorful. My kids each have their favorites as well and often beg to visit after school gets out. The tea is very well priced and I look forward to being a loyal customer for years to come. Thank you for finding your way to...
