We have eaten at most of the Zen Restaurants. Unfortunatly this was a first and last visit. I made a reservation and when we entered, take out customers, no matter when they got there were taken care of before dine in customers were even talked to. As we waited to talk to someone for our reservation, a 4 some, sat at the Sushi bar, a first come first served seat. As the hostess turned to seat us, now almost 15 minutes after the reservation time, she walks away to the bar seated customers. Now more than 15 minutes waiting, we are seated. When staff was asked about having a reservation and walk in and take out, we were told that the people at the bar sat down first and that was why they were being served first. They are being served by the hostesses that you would think should be seating and cashing out customers that are packed into the entry. I asked if having a reservation meant anything? This all prior to seating any other customer. I watched as 2 or 3 hostesses stayed with the customers at the bar and left others waiting. Obviously you need to be friendly or a friend of a hostess to have service. After another 20 minutes waiting at the table our drinks finally came. The waitress was the best service we received the entire night. The manager came over to apologize again for the wait and lack of service. I told her that I would not return there again due to the poor management and service. She turned and walked away. This was an opportunity to retain a customer. She didn't seam to care. Now they can have their favorite customers and not worry about any others getting in the way. The only Zen group restaurant that I have ever been treated this way. Throughout the time we were there, the hostesses were at the Sushi bar on and off the entire time with the other customers, even when there were customers at the front counter. When we left a young boy/man was at the hostess desk in a tee shirt. It is a shame that a business that has done so well, has a location with such poor...
Read moreThis was my worst experience at a restaurant. We came here for lunch, granted it was Easter. It was three of us, and never in my life have I had to go get the waiter myself for anything at all. Granted- there was another waiter, whom just ignored the table completely. You’d think in restaurant service “hmm, no one has checked on that table yet- let me go see how they are” but no. Just ignored. But when other tables came in, they were tended to just fine. Maybe some slight subconscious colorism was involved there. Which I never seen or experienced at a restaurant until I came here. Large group came in after us 10-20 minutes later- was served water and drinks (mind you my family members drink which was non alcoholic wasn’t out yet, had to ask again for it).
Not only was the service bad, the food was worse. I’ve never had a dish I didn’t finish. My tacos were cold, flavorless. My family member got scallops fried- said they had the consistency of rubber. It was so bad she didn’t finish either, and spit out a scallop she was eating. Our order had mistakes twice, not sure if it was just a bad day or what. We were not asked how our food was or if we need anything during. I will say the spider roll was good, as was the crab Rangoons- and chicken fingers (basic dishes). Couple of positive things from this location.
I love dessert but because the food was so bad and the service was also not good we decided not to stay and indulge. The service took so long, I ended up having to walk to the front to pay. Which is ridiculous. Like we didn’t exist and were totally forgotten.
The ambiance is gorgeous, the location is a nice location. But all those things mean nothing when the food, and the service does not match. I hope these are things they will improve on...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Table 570 Asian Fusion in Simsbury, CT, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the modern Asian fusion concept. The décor is stylish yet cozy, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal or a special night out.
Now, let’s talk about the food – simply amazing! The menu is a delightful blend of traditional Asian flavors with a contemporary twist. Every dish I tried was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The sushi rolls were fresh and creative, with just the right balance of textures and flavors. I highly recommend the Dragon Roll and the Spicy Tuna – they are to die for!
But the highlight of the night had to be the entrees. The General Tso’s Chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and had a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The Pad Thai was another standout, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and you could tell the ingredients were of top-notch quality.
The service was also impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and ensuring that every need was met with a smile. It’s rare to find such a combination of excellent food and outstanding service, but Table 570 nails it.
If you're in the Simsbury area and looking for a spot that offers a unique and delicious dining experience, Table 570 Asian Fusion should be at the top of your list. Whether you're a sushi lover or crave classic Asian dishes with a twist, this place has something for everyone. I'll definitely...
