Brookside Bagels — Restaurant in Simsbury

Hands down the best bagels I've ever had. I love bagels so everywhere I travel they are my go to breakfast.

This tiny little shop puts heart and soul into a bagel. My favorite? Blueberry!!! They have a sweet Madagascar vanilla bean smell and are so perfectly soft and chewy.

Brookside has all of the standard bagels and then a set of gourmet ones that run about $1 more. Spend the $1 it is so worth it. Blueberry is a gourmet bagel. Cheddar, cheddar jalapeno and cheddar everything are always on the list. Plus they have seasonal selections like Maple Bacon and the latest one Pepperoni Pizza.

Don't be disappointed and place an order online the day before to ensure they have what you want.

The 60 minute roundtrip drive is worth...

Good food but with price have gone up and there are operational problems. I have been coming here for my entire life, and recently this otherwise excellent bagel deli has gotten into some questionable practices.

For starters, the wait times have become ridiculous despite being plenty staffed. This place has always been popular, but the main issue is that they've got 8 parking spots dedicated to the order-ahead curbside customers, and as a result, the customers who just want to walk in are being penalized as dozens of curbside people show up. This is very similar to Starbucks now.

With high demand comes higher prices than some other local bakeries and delis. I know Simsbury is affluent but the lunch sandwiches here...

This place has the best bagels! However the service and how they run this business is extremely disappointing which is really effecting the quality of the food.

I have been coming here with my family religiously every week for the last 2 years with a drive or 45 minutes and to have orders constantly messed up and people who answer the phone not to listen and not know how to take payments over the phone is a reflection of poor business management

They need to create better system and processes for their clients, such as ordering line, pick up line and etc

This place has a potential to be a franchise because of how good their product is but unless they change how they run this business they will continue to...
