If I could give this place less than a star I absolutely would. The first reason is because of the way they charge people. I ordered a Farmville special under the impression that I could add a flavor in my pancakes ie: chocolate chips. The waitress taking my order did not explain to me that if I got the chocolate chip pancakes there would be an upcharge of $1.25 per pancake for CHOCOLATE CHIPS and then I would be charged for the bacon separately. So I ate them and somewhat enjoyed the undercooked pancake with a side of floppy undercooked bacon until I got my bill and it it said 12 dollars for a sweet tea, two pancakes and three slices of bacon that were supposed to be all together in a special for 7 dollars. Then they had the nerve to say it was my fault instead of just realizing they never stated I would be paying such an egregious amount for the mediocre food I was served and made sure I paid. The second reason is while this was happening a black woman walked into the establishment and was only looking for a signature. Not only did the owner of the establishment talk to this lady as if we were still in pre 1960s America she had the nerve to talk trash about her to the patrons the moment she left. I will NEVER take my service back to such a backwoods racist establishment that has as little for the state of their food as they do for their customers who...

Such a cute little diner with wonderful history. The staff was very personable as you had to sit at the counter since it is so small that it has no individual tables. We were on our annual visit and our friends were raving about their breakfast. They did not disappoint! I made the face in the picture, but know that they give huge, flat, delicious pancakes, perfectly over medium eggs, and very nicely crisp bacon! Other items that we had that did not disappoint: chicken biscuit sliders, bacon omelet, and blueberry pancakes. The only complaint we had was more of a joke with the way we hold our knives, the pointed corner of the handle was digging into our palm. The food, the ambiance, the staff, and the experience were all great and I can't...

Waited 2 hours total after being seated to be completely done with our experience. A dog got his water bowl before we even got our order taken. 3 groups of people came, sat, ate, and left before we could find someone to bring our checks. There was a hair in my brother’s food, food was cold when it arrived, none of our drinks were filled. We had to consistently ask for help. The waitress (skinny brown-haired woman) switched our cards and put them on wrong tabs then continued to huff and puff and roll her eyes when we noticed it to have it fixed. By far the worst experience. Will...

We made an impromptu stop here for a quick bite to eat before hiking the High Bridge Trail. We were lucky enough to snag the last outdoor table so we could sit down with our pup. Before we even ordered, an employee brought us a water bowl, a puppy-themed blanket for our dog to lay on, and a homemade dog treat - they showed Eddie Girl lots of love! We ordered the crispy chicken biscuit sandwich with chipotle honey. It was the perfect pre-hike meal. We look forward to coming back to see the friendly staff, buy some dog biscuits, and check out more menu items :)

Yesterday at lunch was my first time experiencing Walker’s Diner, a Farmville landmark since 1952. My first impression of this establishment was that it had a lot of charm dating from a bygone era. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and I found my food to be delicious and memorable. The lettuce on my grilled chicken sandwich was very fresh. The lemon meringue pie was amazing. The interior space of the restaurant felt a little cramped, and that’s part of the charm of this popular diner. I look forward to returning to enjoy my second visit!
