We came across this place by accident as we were driving through town, and decided to stop in for lunch. The staff was very friendly, and service was great. While the menu was extensive, there were almost no options for vegetarians. Our wraps were good, and made exactly as requested, but we found them to be a little small. Further, we thought the potato chips served in the bag was not a nice presentation. The pie we had for dessert was delicious. If you're not vegetarian, there are many options and you'll most likely enjoy your visit. Be prepared for your bill to be higher than prices listed on the menu. There is a sign warning of this on the front door, but as other customers have commented, you may be surprised by how much more your bill will be.

Delicious, down-home, country style food with fair pricing and acceptable portions. Plenty of seating and polite wait staff. Had a nice brunch in mid-week, not too crowded and very friendly atmosphere. The eggs were cooked as ordered and the grits and gravy were nice. I liked the toasted biscuits, a nice little variation on your typical biscuit. Worked will with jelly or gravy. I didn't see the combination that I was looking for, but ordering the Lite plate and the couple sides to meet my desires was about the same cost as the larger breakfast platters. -- The local artwork to view and purchase is also a nice addition.

Came in here with a colleague before a meeting we had to run to last Saturday. Figured since it was like a diner, we would be able to be in and out in about 40 mins. Ordered upon sitting down, and we did not get food for 1 hour and 14 minutes. It wasn't like we ordered anything complicated, just a couple breakfast combos. It also was not that crowded, maybe 9 other people in the restaurant, half already eating. The food portions were tiny, and my eggs were undercooked. It seemed like the food they were serving was meant for people who were unable to chew properly. Service was slow, and it seemed like the waitresses ignored us because they knew the food was mysteriously not going to appear any time soon. They were not understaffed (probably about 9 people working between waitstaff and kitchen) so I struggled to find sympathy for why it took so long. Also, the prices on the menu are nowhere near accurate to what you are actually charged. My meal was $6.50 and I was charged $12. I probably will go elsewhere if I ever find myself in...

I used to come here all the time when I went to Longwood up until I graduated 2 years ago and always remember the service being fast and was my go-to sit down restaurant for breakfast if I was in a hurry. Usually in and out in 15 minutes flat even when they were busy. Went and visited recently when I was back in town with my girlfriend and it took over an hour to receive our food. It was relatively busy but not too bad. It almost got to the point where I was about to lose my patience and just pay for our drinks and leave but our food was eventually brought out and it was good and the prices were reasonable. The sweet tea and biscuits are amazing and our server kept the drinks coming. I felt bad for the family that was sitting next to us because they were there before we got there and we got served our food and as we were leaving they sill hadn't gotten their food. I will probably be back the next time I'm in town giving this place the benefit of doubt in assuming it was just a bad...

Decently priced, okay food. Our server was great, but unfortunately the gentleman at the front entrance was rude to us as we left. He never said anything when we came in, but after we had paid & were walking out he said “read the sign on the front door when you leave.” It was a sign that masks were recommended when entering a restaurant. He had his mask down around the bottom of his chin, not covering his nose or mouth at all, and there was another customer about 3 feet from him. He also came over to our table while we were eating (with his mask still around his lower chin) and asked how our food was. The delivery of his comment as we left felt very condescending and contradictory since he wasn’t following the recommendation either, and had no idea what personal reasons we may have for not wearing a mask. Subsequently, we do not feel comfortable going back due to his passive aggressive nature. He’s also probably spreading germs to everyone who enters by not wearing his mask...
