I've made more than 15 visits to Clean Eatz, and this location gets a 5/5 star for an overall experience. I’m going to start with the food, then the to-go meals and finally the customer service. I have tried: (1) The Hammerhead Wrap (5/5), my go-to for a taste of salmon and as a change from chicken. The wrap itself is good, but the lime sauce gives it a nice zing. (2) The Chicken Fajita and Watch Your Waist Wrap (5/5) are just as good, especially the Tzatziki and the spicy ranch sauces. I believe the sauces alone make the wraps.
(3) The Big Boy Wrap and the Arnold (5/5) are good choices, if you eat a lot like me. Either of these two wraps can very filling. They are hearty and dense. The cheese may be overwhelming for some but both are still a solid pick. (4) The Grilled Goat Cheese Sandwich (5/5), is a nice alternative if you want a break from meat. The goat cheese is rich but the taste and the toppings all compliment one another. The oat bread brings everything together with a toasty flavor. I don't have much to say about tThe Philly and Bacon Chicken Ranch flatbreads (4/5), other than for under 400 calories they are hard to pass up.
I understand why (5) the burger (3/5), isn’t too fatty because of a leaner cut, but that leaves it a bit lacking in taste. However, with enough toppings the burger can still be a nice addition for lunch or dinner. (6) The bowls (3/5), are something I've only had twice over the course eating in the cafe. The bases, proteins, veggies and sauces could be considered mediocre, but Clean Eatz focuses more on nutrition. Still, a bowl can be a great combination of different food sources. The sweet potato chips used in making the (7) Good For You Nachos (3/5), were basically fries and, in my opinion, weren’t firm enough to hold onto the the beef and the rest of the ingredients.
There are so many to-go meals this review would take an entire website. I’ll just say for the sake of convenience and taste each container was a good balance of flavor, protein, carbohydrates and fats. The staff, at Clean Eatz has always been friendly and helpful. Overall, if you’re looking for an alternative to common fast food stops or casual cafe dining,...
Read moreif you have any gluten allergy this place is not the place to go. my sister and i both have gluten allergies and we went here with our grandmother for lunch. the employees were very nice, they even tried to help us navigate what to eat and even checked their allergy listings in their sauces. well unfortunately after being told all of their sauces were gluten free i decided to get teriyaki sauce, no issue because i knew it was gluten free after checking the list, my sister and i both liked our grandmothers sauce the sweet chili so we both ate some. after a few bites we both felt a little uneasy as if we'd eaten gluten, we continue eating just thinking nothing of it and about ten minutes after we're done and left the store my sister and i both are having severe stomach aches, an overwhelming full body feeling of heat and headache which is the feeling we normally the allergy sensations we get after eating gluten. so after the intensive viewing of the allergy listings we still consumed gluten and will be feeling for the next few days because of it. we arent mad at the employees nor the corporation we feel just in explaining our experience here. honestly its not really even their fault because the label didnt say it contained gluten but because soy sauce has gluten and it is such a small amount of it the government doesnt legally make them label it as containing gluten. i just wanted to share this experience for other people with allergies. again no hate to the company...
Read moreI legit never want to cook again. This was so easy and I spent less money than I would have HAD I meal prepped on my own. Here's why - we need leak proof containers for work (thus far, these pass this test), I do not have to wash tupperware, I don't have to carry around tupperware, I don't spend my entire Sunday meal prepping and grocery shopping, I don't have to scour the internet for new recipes, I don't have to clean up my kitchen/dishes after meal prepping, I get more variety in my meals, the nutrition facts are easily retrievable online (versus calculating them based on ingredients on your own), they taste good, they are good for you, and I get to spend my time doing other things. The only change that would make Clean Eatz meal prep easier for me was if Clean Eatz had a meal pickup location in Oak Ridge/further West OR if I could pick up my meals on Sunday. We live in Kingston and right now I have to fight traffic to get to Knoxville to pick up meals on Mondays after work :[ Otherwise, this is completely simplified my meal...
