ALDI — Local services in Farragut

I’ve been to numerous Aldi‘s all over the country. And the common theme throughout has been the cashiers are very friendly. Whoever it was the brown haired male as the only cashier on May 19 Monday at 10:45 AM needs to find another job …you don’t get to pick and choose who you greet or treat nicely. When you’re in line and you see the cashier half heartedly greeting customers and then when it’s my turn …dead silence .. no eye contact …rings me up doesn’t say thank you or have a good day… literally up to me to tell him to have a good day. Total attitude maybe that’s the reason why you’re 30 years old still ringing up groceries at Aldi.

Not to mention this location is frequently out of items and somewhat disorganized. They always only have one cashier working and there’s no self check out. The Aldi in Lenoir city is much much better.

Shelf stable products are great; they're affordable and comparable to other grocers (things like bread, honey, jams, etc.). Meats are also good - we had had issues with Kroger's meat going bad before we could eat it, but so far, this hasn't been an issue with Aldi.

Our issues have been with produce. Broccoli is prepackaged in plastic wrap, making it difficult to inspect for mold. Twice now, we've bought broccoli only to find mold once we unwrap it. We've had the mini cucumbers give us food poisoning, and the salad mix goes bad within days. Bagged apples turn out to be moldy once we open them. Blackberries and strawberries are moldy on the shelf.

If you're looking for an affordable source of bread, cereal, meat, and other staples, this is a good one. If you need produce, Kroger is...

My first visit to the Farragut store. The store was great although on entering if you don’t have a quarter you cannot use a buggy? Really?? And then the customer service was absolutely horrible. Rude cashiers to the customers in the line which wound around the store. A second cashier was called out and the original cashier asked people in line to go to the next register…but the other cashier didn’t come and they would have been checked out sooner if they’d stay in place. After checking out two customers the cashier put the closed sign right in front of a gentleman that had switched lines😖. So we all said he changed lines to come here and with no eye contact or pleasantness at all she said yeah I’ll check him out. Don’t think...
