I found this place because of the article in the Fayetteville Flyer and was excited to go try it out. I walked in and the place is cool and comfortable. You go up to the counter and they have a menu of three sandwiches and a cheese plate for you to choose from. They are in a soft opening so a limited menu makes sense. I saw the muffuletta and ordered it. I believe for the full size it was $18’s. No sides or a drink included. I thought was weird you would think for the price a bag of chips and maybe a coke of some sort would be included. Once I ordered she went to the back grabbed a sandwich wrapped in cellophane and put it in a brown paper bag. That’s when the worry set in. I went and sat at one of the tables to open the bag and set a cold cellophane wrapped sandwich on the table. So I went to open it to find shredded cheese on a stack of a variety of deli meats with a light spread of olive spread on the bottom. I don’t know if you ever seen or had a muffuletta but this wasn’t it. It’s supposed to be lightly toasted with slices of melted cheese with a nice olive spread with a little sweet and spicy taste. I would of been embarrassed to serve this to a stranger let alone my friends. I am hugely disappointed. Hopefully this isn’t an indication of what is to come from them in the future. I would not suggest this place to anyone. I never leave reviews. I had to this time because of the lack of imagination and disregard for there customers money...
Read moreAbsolutely blown away by this place. The knowledge of the staff is next-level. I seriously couldn’t believe that one person could know that much about cheese… but every single person behind the counter was equally impressive. It’s like stepping into a little cheese sanctuary of experts who genuinely want to curate an experience, not just serve food.
The space itself is incredibly relaxing and refreshing I like the huge windows that let in gorgeous natural light, and the minimalist aesthetic gives off calm, thoughtful vibes. You can tell everything is intentionally designed, from the layout, to the menu to the flow of your visit.
Do yourself a favor and get the muffaletta. It’s massive and delicious (the half was half my plate), with a unique twist on the traditional version. Even better, let them build a cheese tray or charcuterie board for you. It comes absolutely packed with flavor, variety (again thoughtful curation), and education. I honestly walked away not just full but smarter and way more excited about cheese and that was….unexpected but delightful.
Highly recommend this spot if you want something thoughtful, relaxing, and ridiculously tasty...
Read moreWe were excited to see a cheese shop opening in Fayetteville and chose to check it out for lunch on Thursday, June 26th. The staff was so kind and knowledgable about their products and we had a chance to speak with the owner Ali during our lunch. She is delightful. We had a great chat as she told us her history with cheese and her family’s story about how they ended up in Fayetteville. After sampling several cheeses, we went with a charcuterie board which comes with dried fruit, olives, and bread and the 4 cheeses we decided on (it was a difficult decision since they were all excellent) and Sarah and I split a ham and butter sandwich. As simple as that sandwich sounds, the quality of the ham and butter is not something you normally find in this area. We grabbed a block of the gourmet butter from Connecticut out of the case on the way out, paid our tab, and thanked them all for a wonderful experience. Also warned them that they may get tired of seeing us! All in all, a...
