I was incredibly excited to purchase a dress from Maude's from the line Line & Dot that I had been searching for. However, upon receiving the package, I opened it only for my excitement to quickly turn to frustration & then anger. The dress had been casually thrown into the too small standard padded USPS mailer, with no tissue or interior packaging around the dress. The hem of the dress had been sealed into the envelope flap, and when I opened it, the dress was cut as well. When I contacted Maude's (repeatedly, as there was no response to the email sent, and then no answer on the phone number listed for several days) I was told that the damage must be my own problem, and that they claimed no responsibility for the damage. They also repeatedly mentioned that the way they shipped item was to keep their own costs low, and that's just how it was. Having worked in boutique retail for several years I was very taken aback at not only the rude attitude I received from every associate I talked to, but the completely denial of guilt or culpability for their own shoddy shipping practices. While I am glad that Maude's gets to keep their shipping expenses down due to the negligent handling of the merchandise, I think it is TERRIBLE service to tell a customer that not only are they responsible, but to outright completely refuse to exchange or return. Whomever PACKED the silk dress into a small padded envelope and then sealed the hem of that dress into the flap of the envelope seems to be the person responsible for what happens to the dress when that package is open, however, they basically told me sorry 'bout you.
The entire experience has been a nightmare, and I am disgusted with the handling of the situation from the beginning to the end. I advise anyone who is thinking of buying from them online, or shopping in store, to reconsider as you will assuredly be incredibly disappointed. DO NOT SHOP WITH THESE PEOPLE- TERRIBLE SHIPPING & HANDLING AND NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. WORST BOUTIQUE...

Their selection of clothing, shoes, accessories, and gifts are unique and fashion forward and there is something for every budget!
