Cook Out — Restaurant in Fayetteville

Honestly before tonight I've never had any huge issues at this cook out, but tonight was probably the biggest disappointment I've ever had at any fast food business. Let me start with the woman at the window who was beyond professional and wonderful she's the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of none. But when we got home to say the food was disgusting was putting it nicely. There was 0 cares given with the making of our order. Fries were cold and unseasoned after I asked multiple times for cajon which I can look past. Nuggets were hot but burnt which I could've also looked past. But the burgers omg let's just say whoever was cooking maybe needs to be moved to being a cashier. It had enough ketchup and mayo on it to make me literally gag (more condiments than meat), it was slapped together on some of the soggiest bread I've ever had the displeasure of having. I'm not one to complain at any restaurant but this was seriously bad enough it wasn't edible. I just got off a 12 hr shift and got home so $27 worth of food went straight in the trash because I'm too tired to drive the 18 mins back up there then home. It'll be a good while before I visit this cookout again. Definitely check your food...

June 13, 2023 Update ⚠️Avoid this Location⚠️ Cookout has generally been decent in the past. Tried again today. Burgers were smaller and not hot. Literally the size in area of 6 quarters, smaller than McDonalds basic burgers. Fries were greasy/soggy and way oversalted. Either the grease was not hot enough or, worse, they were old fries double dropped in the grease to reheat. This has turned into a disgusting waste of money when McDonalds makes a better burger with their plain cheeseburger. The only thing I would recommend from here is a cup of ice. The pellet ice is good and fills the cup so you don't have to endure much of the poorly mixed soda (yep, that too).

May 21, 2023 around 515pm. Ordered 2 burgers and one double. Every one of the burgers were room temp and crusty and hard around perimeter where I would guess had been sitting under a heat lamp far too long, or worse. I would have gone back and demanded a refund, but live 10 minutes away, they were for my elderly folks in their mid 80s who were hungry and just accepting of any slop by that time. I've transported Take-out burgers as long as 30 minutes from other locations and they always remain very warm.

100% thankful for the lady at the window today! Her random act of kindness so very unexpected and appreciated. I couldn’t find my cashapp card so I got cash and went up to cookout. After ordering for me hubby and son I was $2 short on cash. she offered to help me with that $2! But I told her if I can get cashapp tap to work then I should be ok. We ended up getting tap to work!! Between her not rushing me at the menu, then having the consideration to cover the $2 and even having the patience to help me get tap figured out, is amazing. ( I went to Starbucks and did something wrong with cashapp tap and the lady got irritated ) so I was nervous to try this time but she was so ready to help and just try it. Listen…. I really hope you get a raise or some kind of acknowledgment because your patience and just the way you were ok with giving me a second was noticed ! As a toddler mom who was having a rough day that you knew nothing about , those 3 mins was amazing. I hope you do awesome with whatever is coming your way ❤️
