The ribs were the worst we ever had. the pulled pork on the sandwich was good, but the bun was dry .. As for the ribs.. the were dry, kinda like they had been sitting around for a while, asked for a side of sauce .. which she did not say there was a charge for, should have come with the ribs since there was no sauce on them to begin with. Tried with the sauce, and it wasn't any better. Told the waitress the issue, she went to talk to the manager and came back saying 'well since you've already eaten half, sorry but can't do anything' NO ... 1 bone was eaten and another 2 were pulled apart to see if the inner ones were just as dry and they were .... Back to goes to the manager, comes back out and takes the plate back to the manager. Comes back again and says.. Well I can take off the meal and then just charge you for the 2 sides .. OK fine... But whoever that manager was that was on duty on Saturday April 26th at 7pm - has got to go! Can't even come out and talk to the customer, sends the waitress out 3x ... That manager was just being plain lazy ... If only that manager would have come out and done their job.... I felt like this was some sort of argument over 1 meal via playing 'telephone' with the poor waitress .... just maybe I would not be leaving this review. The Pineapple Cake drink was yummy .. so that...
Read moreWe were in Fayetteville on a Saturday at 3:30 and man we were hungry. Pies & Pints had an hour wait. The 304 was closed. So the next one on the recommended list was this place.
We pulled up and the parking lot was packed so we were nervous it would be a long wait. Wrong. We were seated promptly. Mallory was our server and even though she was slightly innatentive, she was very nice and did take care of us when she did come around.
They have the menus under the glass on the table, very handy. The benches look uncomfortable but they’re actually not bad at all, and it would be a great place to bring a party of 4 or more since the tables are so spacious.
Food came out quickly. Fire creek nachos were great. I had the brisket & Mac and cheese, husband had brisket & ribs platter and Mac.
Honestly pretty affordable. $70 for all, including tip. All the meat was tender and juicy and fell apart so nicely. Ribs were amazing. Mac and cheese had a smoky taste and was a little too saucy for my taste, but still great.
My only complaint really was most BBQ places offer a lot of sauces and this place doesn’t, and even though the brisket was good on its own, I do love my sauces and it would have made it way better.
First time here & we will return. This place really came through for us hungry...
Read more3 stars because I’m feeling generous and the staff was nice, other than the young boy that stands behind the waiter at the counter and stares at you while you order. Anyways, I got the trio platter, the brisket reminded me of a stew meat it had to of been drowning in a liquid on too high of heat. Then there were the ribs that had an awesome smoke ring but hardly any smoke flavor at all, the lack of juice and seasoning to the meat was then covered up in a pretty alright homemade bbq sauce (probably the best part about this entire meal) but a little bit goes a long way and just like the brisket I feel as if the ribs are just bathing in a tub of bbq sauce waiting to be served. The pulled chicken was very dry and once again the bbq sauce came in to save the day on it. Sweet potato side dish was a sweet potato nothing special. My wife’s bacon cheeseburger with “extra crispy bacon practically burnt” got a under seasoned beef patty (tasted more like beef fat than anything) and some chewy bacon like you get out of the bag for a salad. THE PEANUTBUTTER PIE WAS TO DIE FOR. (Maybe open a bakery) All in all if your a weekend meat smoker and enjoy your smoked bbq like me, you’ll feel the same way. Step it up fire creek I had high expectations based off...
