There really isn't anything to dislike about this place. It looks like a gas station from the front, the name says truck stop, lol, but seriously you'll enjoy yourself!
It gets hopping! So go early if you want to find a table outside in the early summer- 7:30 pm was a struggle on a Friday night but they provide plenty of space for people to spread out, standing spaces with ample sturdy ledges for your drinks and food while you wait to snag a seat -there's even turf in the back (that's where it's at, if you ask me). We didn't wait long to get a table (seat yourself). It got a little loud out back (just acoustics bouncing off walls and fencing) so if you want quiet or chatting with friends and want to hear them it's better out front though less seating (wonder if they are able to add more without overcrowding, I felt they might be able to out front but not sure).
The vibe is chill!! Great crowd: mix of ages, types of people, military and civilian, families (before it got dark), couples, girls' nights and guys' night (very dog friendly!πI could sit all night watching the pups) with lots of Adirondack chairs (live music that night was great: young guitarist on vocals ππ»). There was 1 corn hole game and some oversized Lego blogs in the back which was cool, tent cover for high tops and a few tables (which a couple of the tables could be shared by different parties- we were a party of 3 shared it with a couple).
Decor is unique, clean, artistic, and the bar staff IS.THE.FRIENDLIEST.IVE.EVER.MET. MATURE LEADERSHIP (AND/OR OWNERSHIP) HERE. π«Άπ» Was served (with a smile) immediately upon walking in, then served (with a smile) immediately the next time even though it was busy. Closed out (yep, again with a π) with kindness confirmation everything was okay etc (even though it was really busy by then)!
I was hesitant about the food truck food (haven't had too many good experiences) but we ordered off the blue seafood truck and WOW the portion size of flounder was huge, crabcakes and hush puppies delish (with some sort of signature sauce with a kick). That was a wait, but all my experiences with food trucks seem slow, maybe an hour but SO worth it and you have time to chat and chill (while you also wait for an open table).
Lots of cool and unique drink and beer options! I was thrilled they had a nice surplus of NA choices that I love.
Parking is in the small lot they have out front, street side in the neighborhood, and all over the area you'll find closed businesses for the day so you may be able to park there but just be cautious you are parking π ΏοΈ where it's allowed (which I'm not sure that is- but there were no signs saying not to- beware the open-late salon behind the building, don't park there so they can have their spaces).
The crowd here was respectful and kind, all there to enjoy themselves in mature ways. A breath of fresh air from the typical "bar scene".
Honestly, the only complaint I had (aside from it being hard to hear when crowd was cheering the musician) was that TP ran out on one of the stalls, but by the time I told someone about it, it was already refilled!
I've been in the customer experience and service business for decades and this place nailed it. I hope this new establishment lives on forever. It's a super addition to the community and it's super...

Β Β Β Read moreI hate to do this because I truly loved this place and have made it a point to recommended it to people over and over. However, intimidating customers and accusing them of writing bad racial reviews (without proof of what on earth you're talking about) is unacceptable.
MULTIPLE months ago I came here for a weekly visit like I do with my friends, and I had too much to drink and was rude to the bartender. Which plenty of people in this town who I know, and who know me, know this is out of character for me. I went out of my way to apologize the next day and received a response from TruckStop thanking me for my apology and said I am welcome back and the incident would be left in the past.
Yet yesterday, months later, an owner aggressively approached me and took me into a secluded corner away from my friend to intimidate me about a review they received regarding their treatment of minorities β without being able to actually show me whatever this post was. My assumption is that this review came around the same time of my apology, and since I'm also a minority it MUST have been me? Wrong. I'm very disappointed in this behavior, as I did my part and apologized (which was accepted, screenshot attached) yet still received an aggressive, retaliatory, unprofessional, confrontation to include extra allegations of something I did not do. Why tell a customer an incident is in the past and then come at them in such a manner?
I can admit when I need to do better, and I showed that. But can...
