Chill brunch spot with a Caribbean-inspired menu. Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat aka work lunch. Eating at restaurants in the city that I’ve never been to, this is a spot in Fayetteville. I praise the food and customer service. Table of three, we were sat immediately and ordered Key West Shrimp Bites as an appetizer. (Highly recommend). Our entrees were shrimp and grits, Chicken Quesadillas, and fried mahi tacos. We devoured our food until our plates were empty and our bellies were full. It’s refreshing to go to a restaurant with efficient and friendly customer service. As we were getting ready to pay, a lunch rush was slowly creeping in. A party of six sat right behind me. I could smell the person’s BO from being outside. The tables were close together. She gave me a little attitude when I politely asked her to scoot her chair in because I was stuck. Thankfully, her friends understood and apologized to me on her behalf. This has nothing to do with the restaurant but with the location. We were walking back to the car when we noticed a fight between a couple at the gas station. Words were exchanged, and car doors were opened and then slammed. Every car stopped at the red light was watching. Be careful of your surroundings.

If I could give 0 stars I would but had to choose 1 to do the review. First time here Sunday at apprx 4pm. Complete waste of $41.. we were the only customers. Food is terrible, place was dirty , and the employees ruined it too. Food chicken quesadilla and it was barley warm, and no flavor other then the ingredients. Husband had a burger, I had a steak hoagie and I am shocked that neither had literally no salt no pepper. In addition the potato cakes had no flavor other then maybe 4 pieces of green onion and undercooked bacon. The food is literally horrible. Now I get to the staff - never In my life have I seen 5 people on their phones, talking to each other just chilling ! One person was sitting in the back talking to someone the whole time, appeared an off work employee. How are 5 people chilling but tables needed wiped, floor swept and for goodness sakes wipe the grease off the wall. Our server was indifferent but had to hollar back to her talking to employees while on phone to get check. While leaving no one said bye, have a great day nothing First time here and will be the last and if I was the owner I would be ashamed of how my employees keep my restaurant as if you don’t know this … they stand around doing nothing

Lat 35 is a staple locals spot in the Haymont district near downtown. They have a really solid brunch menu for Sat- Sun and some of my favorite lunch bites (looking at you Shrimp tacos, grouper fingers, and Shrimp bowl). Their trivia night is a lot of fun and occasionally have live music but I haven’t seen it in a while. Perfect place for a pre/post - theatre meal/drink. While I really like their menu I am looking forward to them changing it up a bit but it’s a solid selection and definitely a “go too” on the weekends. The atmosphere is essentially a more laid back “Margeritaville” tropical theme, which I definitely dig.

I worked at Latitude 35 for about 2 months. A little about my background I’ve been in the restaurant business for almost 6 years bartending and serving. I decided to work here as a second job to just get a break from my main job(a restaurant that does over 4 million dollars in sales a year) I take pride in my ability and like to think I know what I’m doing when it comes to working in the front of house. I also have bar management experience on top of that. I have never seen a restaurant ran so poorly in my entire life. The owners are just constantly up at the restaurant drinking and not just drinking getting DRUNK, so much micro management it’s ridiculous not to mention the amount of unprofessionalism is insane. You have to keep up with how much money they owe because they will wait an entire week to pay you out what you’re owed which is unheard of coming from the place I work. The owners also must know someone in the health department because how they pass a health inspection is beyond me. The place is DISGUSTING to say the least, so next time you eat there please keep that in mind. They don’t even have a spot to keep the ice scoop so it’s either sitting inside the ice bin or just sitting on top of the grate that’s on the beverage station(both of which are health code violations) the lids contain the sauces are never cleaned or changed out. I washed them myself about 5 times and that is the only I have seen them cleaned and I never saw the bottles get changed out EVER. The microwave when I first started there made me gag so I took upon myself to clean it out and I was told by other staff that was the first they had seen in cleaned in god knows how long. They DO NOT even polish their silverware. I was also accused of stealing a giant ladder in which there is no way humanly possible I could fit it inside my vehicle(I drive a 2 seater hatchback) I was also told that I should be fired because I’m “arrogant” I have never known that to be a basis to fire someone and then I was told that the money that THEY owed me from over week before would be withheld from me unless I returned a jacket that was given to me as part of a uniform(pretty positive that is extremely illegal) I just feel like this company did me completely wrong and I did nothing to deserve it. So if you’re ever thinking about working there DON’T unless you just have no dignity or self respect for yourself and the money was horrible might I add I was used to averaging around $20 per hour (I was lucky if made $12 per hour). If you’re thinking about eating there DON’T unless you have a lot of confidence in your immune system. This may seem like a rant by a disgruntle employee, but there is a reason why this place is nowhere near the business it used to be I’m surprised they are even afloat and I’ll be even more surprised if they are open for...

It has a nice look to it, and the customer service from the waitress was very pleasant, even though it seemed as if there was way to many people working for such a small place. It might be a great bar, but the food is their down fall. My date got the shrimp/grits plate, and I ordered their beef tips plate. Annnnnd here we go.

please take note I am NOT a certified chef or a food critic. I have had experience in food/restaurant business in some way or another for over about 6 years. This is a review from two different people that enjoys two very different styles of food

My date's dish: The good - very creamy sauce, the flavor "unique" but very good, and more than enough food for one person.

The bad - the shrimp was over cooked (rubbery), the portion was enough for three people, and the cream sauce was way to heavy.

Suggestions - use fresh shrimp or even uncooked shrimp in the recipe, make a lighter sauce, cut the portion size down by at least half and lower the price of the dish

My dish: The good - very attractive plate, the beef was clearly high quality steak, I received a side item I didn't even ordered, and the BBQ sauce was amazing.

The bad - it was made very clear I can not handle anything "cream". my plate came out with cream sauce, my "beef tips" were more like steak chunks, (the extra side I didn't even order was green beans with cheese of it) they didn't have any flavor and were oily, my "beef tips" were barely medium when I asked medium-well, and lastly the loaded mashed potatoes... When a customer ask if they are made with sour cream and the answer is "no", but they have VERY STRONG sour cream taste in them. Not a good sign.

Suggestions - make what the customer has requested, cook the food properly, and allow the food to speak for it self instead of over adding things to it and making the natural flavors to get lost.

There was a issue after we left. My date had tried the green beans and the mash potatoes of mine. Within about a hour we both had very upset stomachs. We had not eaten anything other than a bagel that morning so the only source was from here.

If we go back to this place it will be only for drinks and the...

I want to love this place but it's getting harder and harder. It has a great atmosphere and the tacos are awesome, one of the best you can get in Fayetteville. What I've noticed over the past year visiting here (previously gave it a much better rating) is the diminishing customer service and general cleanliness. The last 3 times we've gone in we've had to ask the bartender to wipe the left over food from the bar top. This is after we've sat down, been greeted, and asked what we'd like to drink. If there is anything on the bar it should be taken care of immediately. As a matter of fact on the last visit the bartender grabbed a completely dry rag and just smeared the left over food across the counter. We found out it was dry because I grabbed it myself in an attempt to eat of a clean bar. On one recent visit we watched a pair of bartenders, the entire waitstaff, and a few of the kitchen staff repeatedly step over a dropped hamburger by the kitchen door...during our ENTIRE VISIT. If it were busy I would have some understanding but not even close. Their pure lack of care or even a little pride in what they do is concerning enough. If this is what happens in front of the customers I'd hate to find out what's going on in the kitchen or behind the bar. For this reason alone I believe we're done as customers which is truly sad. I would like to love this place as it reminds me of being back home in Florida but it's going downhill in my opinion. Hopefully the manager or owners will step up and make the...
