I visited for my first service at The Gossip Shop Salon at Love Charms yesterday and I was overall very pleased with my experience. Staff is welcoming, very friendly, down to earth, up-front and transparent, and hard-working. They tackled COVID-19 and provided a VERY safe environment for those who are looking for salon services. They have gone above and beyond to provide customers with the most comfortable and positive experience possible, and I really appreciated this. I chose Ty as my stylist and she did a phenomenal job. This is not something I say often about hair stylists and I am VERY untrusting of new stylists touching my hair. Have no worries at all when you schedule an appointment with Ty. She and Catherine both worked to make sure we achieved exactly what I went for. I definitely see myself returning to this salon and following Ty through her hair stylist journey. It's SO hard to find a hair stylist who is willing to put the manual labor and time into their work. I'm SO happy and relieved that I found someone who is both talented with color and equally easy to talk to. She and Catherine both have fantastic people skills. I really like the points that customers earn for every dollar spent. This is a great tool for customers to use as well as a great development to keep clients coming back. I didn't ask about these point expiring so I am unsure about that. With the two services I paid for yesterday, my points earned will almost cover my next eyebrow service! Very cool!

Things I liked about this salon: Cleanliness, decor, talent, organization and flow of shop, thorough consultations prior to any hair/wax service, options available for upgrades during your service (such as an upgrade in shampoo etc.), availability and hours, easy to find location, easy parking, comfortable salon chairs, staff attitude, strong support within the workplace, gratuity-free (reduces competition), team players, and eagerness to learn and perfect their craft.

Things that I didn't like or improvements that need to be made: Pricing is a bit excessive and I feel that the majority of customers cannot afford to pay their service costs at regular 6-8 week intervals. This is of course just my opinion and speculation from what I think to be true. I received partial baby highlights and had my eyebrows waxed yesterday. This costed $247.00. I am used to paying about $150 (20 dollar tip included in this price) for partial baby highlights and eyebrow waxing in a high end salon out of Myrtle Beach, SC. Money isn't my absolute biggest concern because I would rather get what I want and pay a bit more versus paying significantly less and walking out of the salon unhappy. That being said, I do think that pricing needs to be re-evaluated to try to attract customers who aren't top tier paying/earning clients.

All in all my experience was an excellent one and I will be seeing Ty again in 2 months. Please give this shop a chance. They have worked really hard on this business and I can almost guarantee you that you will be blown away with the services you receive. Schedule an appointment with Ty today!!! You will love her...

This review is so difficult to write! I’m giving 5 stars for the awesome communication but I’m not sure how I feel about the rest. You decide: I called to schedule for a weekend appointment for a possible hair highlight and cut. I scheduled two weeks out as that was their first available. I haven’t had a cut in almost 2 years. I cut my hair short during COVID and let it grow out without any color. A few hours before my appointment I get a really kind text aging my stylist is out sick and they need to reschedule. They asked me to follow up with a phone call. I did. I explained I needed my hair done during this weekend and they made accommodations for me to come in 10am Sunday. I rearranged my schedule for the updated appointment. Turns out they have only 1 stylist there but the place is beautiful and huge! Look at the awesome pics! The set up is so cool! The stylist is so nice and considerate offering drinks and trying to get all bases covered prior to starting. We discuss what I’m looking for and decided on a cut and few highlights but then there was a treatment and the cost went up to over $250 and I almost swallowed my tongue. I’ve never paid that for my hair in fayetteville! I caught my breath and confessed to the stylist that wasn’t in my budget and if she could just do a cut and maybe toner or something I’d be happy. I may not have realized the cost of hair services in the past few years? She agreed to the cut and treatment and I walked out with a total of $105. They are a no tip salon so you do not tip on top of the final cost. I appreciate the great communication and up front pricing. I know I cannot do justice with my review, but I will try. I knew I found somewhere special from the first call I received after I made my appt. Catherine called after I made my appt online, and stated she wanted to make sure I had enough time to get what I wanted, so we moved appt to the next day. She proceeded to ask me questions about my hair and she listened!! I was amazed that I received a call for concern that I would get the service I wanted, but then to ask me details, etc. Who does this? Someone with quality customer service!! I felt as if she really cared about what I was looking for. The day of my appt, it only improved. I was greeted so kindly and made to feel welcome. After a great discussion with Catherine and my stylist Ty, I received the best experience I have ever had in a salon. Ty did an absolutely amazing job, and explained what she was doing with each different step. I recently moved to the area and had a "train wreck" that needed serious help. Ty and Catherine both answered my questions and offered their expertise. I wish I would have taken before and after photos, as when Ty finished, I honestly could not believe it was the same head of hair. I am so extremely pleased and have found my home for hair care!!! Not only excellent work, but wonderful and fun personalities. The shop itself is such a cute and very very clean place. The shop carries some beautiful jewelry, which of course, I had to get some of, but also clothing and cards. I was offered a beverage upon arrival, and snacks as well during my visit.
